I have three children and three OES and a full time job. It works fine for me -- but -- I think if you're doubtful you should follow your gut. They require a lot of attention and time spent grooming. I spend quite a bit of money on a groomer because I really don't have time to do much more than a quick come out or work out a mat here and there.
I think if you currently don't think you have enough time to care for a dog then maybe you should wait for a while until you do.

As a rough estimate...My dog gets up to 2 hours exercise a day and he is groomed daily.

Obviously only you know how much time you have to give but if your gut feeling is that you don't have time then maybe you know its not for you at the moment :)

You also need to remember that these dogs are big and bouncy and some people find they are just too excitable to have around young children while for others it works fine.
As mentioned only you can decide if you have the time to care for a puppy/dog. An OES will require much more than time than other breeds. Dont rush the decision!!!
I to always wanted an oes every since I was a kid. I waited until I was 40. Kids are older, slowing down in work... more time for my dogs. Oes are part of your family... love to be with you ALOT. I love it and glad I waited until I had time for them.
OES pups take ALOT of time...(as all pups do)
You want them to be a wonderful part of
your family and they can be IF you have time.
I was lucky enough to be off from work this summer
to spend alot of time with my pup!
It was wonderful for us both BUT, I don't think I could have done it
if I was working a regular work schedule.
I am sure it can be done...I am sure people do but,
it is alot of work!
Good Luck

It can be done. We have done it, even when we had growing kids at home. But it takes a commitment on everyone's part.....even the little kids.
