I Did An Avatar!

Hey, this is a big accomplishment for me...

The new Avatar is of Kiera under the Christmas Tree. On Christmas morning we couldn't figure out where Kiera had gone so in looking for her we found her under the tree. I added the bow and started to snap some photos. This one she looks like a fake dog. I am hoping that some of my other photos will be up later, I tried to follow the procedure, but not sure that it worked.

Hope you all like seeing a close up of my Kiera Jean, who turned 6 at Thanksgiving....

Good Job! I'm so glad you were able to do it! I love that picture and what a smart girl Kiera is - waiting under the tree - she knows where the good stuff is!

Kristen
Awwww! good job! She looks like a little kid waiting for Santa... lol
Beautiful picture of Kiera !
That would make a great Christmas card !!!!
Awesome!!!

And yes, I'm still at work. Actually, I went home and did walkies & supper and then came back.

:-(
Love the new avatar!! Those eyes are so expressive! Gotta make sure that Tyler doesn't get jealous, though!
Chris
No problem with Tyler getting jealous! His eyes are equally as beautiful, not as much "make-up" but so expressive. Daisy on the other hand has nary a spot of eye make-up. My mom keeps telling her that she is saving her pennies to get her tatooed eye liner. When I first saw her eyes I was very put off by them, now I love it and the differences between all of them are so profound. No two sheepies are alike...
Look Ma, no hands! Hey, once you figure it out, it's pretty easy! I changed it again.

This is my beautiful Tyler. Just a short note about him. We adopted him when he was just about to turn 4 years old. Now he is about to turn 12! His birthday is the 30th of April. He is the love of my life, and I am his. When I sit to do any knitting, he lays on the couch next to me, with his head in my lap and sighs, deep sighs of contentment. Just the perfect companion.

Enjoy!
The new avatar is great. It's fun once you get the hang of it! Congrats. funny pic!
Hi,

That is such a sweet description of Tyler!
Panda, my rescue has touched a soft spot in my heart, especially when I stretch out on the couch and he leans close to me.
I love Merlin and Panda just as much but Panda, whom sounds like Tyler is just a big mommy's boy. I too love the differences! All your sheepies sound like that have wonderful personalities!

I did it too!!!! I am so proud of myself. I know everyone thinks theirs is
the cutest... but really - isn't my guy just the sweetest? That "faux bashfull" slight tilt to his head like, yes I know, I'm adorable. Now if I
could only shrink my other pic files and figure that out too! But then I
only have a few left anyway. My drive went flooey and I lost hundreds
of photo files last week. Talk about ripping my heart out- and stupid me
hadn't made copies. Live and learn - the hard way.
Shellie your dogs beard is so white! Very cute :)
I hate to admit it, but we just got lucky - I have never had to
fuss with his beard. When he gets his bath it gets very white and
stays pretty well till the next. He even wipes it himself, usually on
someones leg. It is the legs I have a problem with. I have tried
everything to get him to let me brush them, bribes, TDF treats,
building up a few minutes a day... no help at all. My next step is
going to be rescue remedy - what do you all think??
Sometimes just being firm, and making him stay put is the way to go.

I've given Sydney Rescue Remedy before grooming sessions - when she was less used to it. Now - she doesn't like it by far - but she tolerates it.

Do you use a grooming table? I don't - and I think it would make it easier. I usually groom Sydney on the floor and keep a leash on her.
Great job to everyone getting the new avatars up! YAY! It took me a long time too, and even longer on getting a pic on the forum, once I got the hang of it though it was easier.
Keep the pics coming!

Kristen-

I have tried on the table, off table, leashed, had my husband hold him,
forced him to his side (gently as possible) hot dog bits for a brush swipe,
you name it. I have never had any trouble with the rest of his bod, not
even his face. I have been grooming my own dogs for more than 25
years and I don't think I have ever had a problem I couldn't solve
somehow. It is the funniest thing to see this big guy curl those long legs
in such a way that he looks like a legless dog. I am able to get the job done , eventually. If I stay at him long enough he gets tired and gives up.
I have never used RR but it seems to me it may be better for my
Tuck - I really don't like to stress him. I think I may give it a shot this
week. It is time for the Birthday Bath anyhow! Bathtime is just about my
favorite time. Believe it or not I really look forward to Tuck's bathtime.
He talks to me the entire time. There is absolutely nothing in this world
like the eyes of a sheepie peeking through all that hanging wet fur.
Awwwwwwwwwwwwe...
