Lulu update

Well it has been one week and Lulu is now 9 weeks old. She is a handful! What a difference a week makes. She has come out of her shell. She was a little shy meeting people and other dogs. But now she wants to say hi to everyone. We are taking puppy preschool classes at the Humane Society in our area.(Great flexible scheduling!) On Saturdays they offer puppy play groups. $5 for an hour. We went to the featherweight playgroup(she won't be in there for long). For the first 5 min. she hid under my chair. 10 min. later she is running and wrestling with the best of them! It is sooo much fun to watch!

She is now only getting up 2xs a night to go potty! Finally sleep!!

Whenever we come in from outside, I take off my shoes, and when I am not looking she grabs my shoe and takes it to her bed and lays with! Very cute! I am hoping she doesn't start chewing on them. She looks so happy cuddling with my shoe!

Does anyone have any recommends for puppy tear stains around the eyes? Will they go away with time? My last pup didn't have that problem. I am going to the Vet on Thurs and will ask then. Just curious if anyone had any experience with this.

More updates later! I had help posting photos they are under the pictures section of the forum!

I'm so glad you are socializing her already - that makes such a big difference! In terms of the tear stains - I would ask the Vet about that - she may have a touch of an infection or virus.

Good Luck!

I'm so glad Lulu is doing better at night now!! She is utterly adorable! I'll have to bug you for the human society info, when we get a pup- those play sessions sound like a blast!

The puppy preschool and play groups are great! I did the same thing with Bailey(my first wonderful OES). If possible it made her a sweeter, more tolerent dog. Bailey was also a therapy dog and I am hoping to do that with Lulu too. The dogs love to visit, the patients love to see them and it just give you a good feeling! So the more dog and people socialization, the better! Oh...someone needs to go out!

That sounds like a lot of fun!
I would mention the tear stains to your vet to make sure, however some oes just have more than others. Dancer never has any, so I was surprised that Sky does have a little, it has lessened as she got older too.
Congrats on your new puppy. Sounds like things are going really well.
Congratulations on the new baby! I've been using Diamond Eye by Vitacoat for tear stain removal for many years. It works for my guys! It would be a good idea to have her eyes checked out by a vet as stains are sometimes a sign of something else going on....
Best wishes,
Cathy
