I need help picking out flooring

I just uploaded a pic.
We are stuck between two different porcelain tiles.
The darker slate looking one is a bit cheaper.
But I am partial to the lighter one. I feel the dark one if too dark.

For my taste, DEFINITELY the one on the right. We're so glad we didn't pick our darkest choice b/c it makes the house look real dark. The color we have is practically the same thing we currently have, and we absolutely love it. ...covers everything!!!!!
Here is the pic:

Thanks for agreeing with me, Mrs J. 8)
I had Billy pick up a few more of the lighter tiles to lay them out on the floor and I think it looks great. It also seems to be a stronger more durable tile.
I voted for the darker one it seems less busy and it reminds me of slate ....if the lighter one was not so busy I'd have voted for that. :)
They're both too dark for me... I like a floor to actually look clean after I wash it...
The lighter one is supposed to look like natural stone... all tiles look different, some less busy looking.
I am uploading another pic I just took of the tile. I layed out some of the tiles on the kitchen floor.
I would go with either one, but make sure that the grout is dark but not too dark or too much contrast.
Here is the lighter color tile shown in the kitchen.

with the extra tiles layed out the lighter one does look better and not so busy......sort of like tanned leather.....can I change my vote????
Like the lighter one looks fresh and imagine will not show up dog dust bunnies as much, nice neutral colour as well so will go with absolutely everything. :D
I vote for the light one. More options to change colors with furnishings in the future with a lighter, more neutral tone. Both are very pretty though!
I pick the dark one. Our walls are a similar color as yours and the floor is very close to that color and it's great-- it never looks dirty.
The lighter one looks like it may not show dust or dirt ect so easily. I vote for the light color looks warmer.
i have both of them in my home. i prefer the darker one as a) it doen'st show the foot prints as easily and b) it has mor texture to it for the dogs to getr up and down on.
Ali, the dark one isn't real slate it's porcelain and has a very smooth texture. All we have is sand here, so it will blend in nicely with the lighter floor.

My main concern is this portion of the house does not have a lot of natural light because we put a roof on the patio, so I don't want it too dark. I do like the color and "slate look".
We might just put that flooring in the bedroom. They are closing out on that flooring so we may be able to get a great price.
If so, we will be using both. 8)

I think we are going to go with the lighter color in the dining room, kitchen, hallway and entry way.
Well, there ya go!!
Wendy can tell you what i have in my house.

I cannot wait until April as ALL the carpet will be ripped up and out of this house. I will be laying brazillian cherrywood floors. Hopefully will be finishing the basement and putting the decent deck on the back of the house as well. Then i can try to sell this place...............of course i won't want to at that point......... oh well.
I vote for the lighter colour
I like the lighter one - especially for you with the sand being tracked in from the kids and dogs.

the darker in the bedroom might be more soothing and retreat-like. 8)
being a designer i go for he lighter tile looks great in the kitchen area you posted
