THREE TIMES!!!!!

Of course it was with a lot of help...Trainer on one side, me on the other side and food right in front of his nose. The first time it moved he tried to get off, I stuck food in his mouth, the second time he was better and my the third time he was expecting it.

This is sooooooooooooooooo huge since before he wouldn't even step on it!!!
Yay, Simon, soon they wont be able to keep you off it!! Cheering! Excited Dancing Banana
ClappingPurple YEAH!!!!
Good boy! Very Happy Very Happy

Chewie seems to like it, the 2 times he has done it. Very Happy
Yeah!!!!

Hopefully he won't get to be like Marley who has trouble passing by the teeter - for some reason she seems to like it the best - I think it has something to do with being in control Rolling Eyes
Good job Simon. high five!

Harry likes the teeter but the first few times they tilt it themselves is always scary.

One of Sybil's and Mad's favorite as well. Even Belle enjoyed it though her favorite was of all things the chute??!! Shocked Never did understand that one. She had no great love of tunnels, but could rarely resist a chute Laughing

As for teeters, I think they just like slamming things to the ground. Seems to go with the OES nature Wink

While we appreciate Ms Marley's sentiments and decorum, ahem, some sheepdog bitches never read that manual Wink

Yes. I don't have Sybil teeter pictures yet. I just got her pictures from Hounds and there's a cute one of her on the bottom of the teeter (not that you can tell) as I'm doing a front cross, but I think the others are of her jumping. I'll scan and post them when I have a bit more time.

She isn't as wild as her mother, but she sure does love the teeter. At the runthru on Friday she managed a few detours in that direction Rolling Eyes But her new thing is offcourses to the weave poles. Shocked That caught me kind of offguard. Twitchy

KB Cool
I knew it wasn't Sybil but wasn't sure if it might have been Belle.

What happens when Sybil heads for the weave poles?

Harry struggles with weaves in trial running past the entrance. I am sure he is not collecting his stride in time which means I am not giving him enough notice. But once he gets called back to do them he starts barking his frustration and it can go south from there.

She - uh - does the weaves? Laughing Laughing Laughing I don't get upset with her if she does them as an offcourse at this point. Just let her finish them and continue on.

Trialing is different. Under stress it's the first obstacle performance to go (I know you don't believe me Laughing Laughing Laughing but really, that's pretty classic.)

If it's purely a collection issue you probably need to be telling him much earlier and repeating it several times to make him look for the weaves which should give him a shot at collecting himself in time. This was always an issue for Mad as well. She loved the weaves but since slowing down was never high on her agenda she'd easily blow by the entry. With Sybil if I tell her early enough she collects herself nicely. If not, she blows entries too. Rarely in class, so I know it's a green dog/stress issue with her.

One thing you can do to work this (not by this weekend) is to pack up your weavepoles and maybe a couple of jumps and take them on the road when the snow melts and set them up at busy parks and maybe ask Heart to come cheer for him and let him work through it there since you have so few run-thrus. No, it's not the same excitement level as a trial, but it's a step in that direction.

very cool - this may be a more in depth question than you wan to answer on the list - up to you.

When Marley does the teeter, her front legs are stretched similarly to Mad's in the photo, but her weight seems centered over her rear. not that we are at the point yet where this makes a big difference in our run (what runs we are still in handler 101 Confused ), but is this something we should be working on? she does it the same way if I am running her or she is just playing around.

funny you should mention Sybil's detour to the weaves was - Marley who doesn't "do" weaves, detoured to the weaves Tuesday night when we were working on our focus work - the closer we got to the big scary dog , the more likely she was to divert to the collapsed weaves. BTW - she really knows what she should be doing if her perfect 12 weaves collapsed into the space of 6 was any indication. maybe I better change my recommendation to the agility commitee and ask for 12 inch weaves instead of 24 Shocked
Thanks Kristine.

I so need to bottle you up and take you with me whenever we are doing agility. You know the "on the shoulder mentor". Heck, you can even yell the commands to the monster since you will likely be more timely.

I may have to dig out my weaves from the snow and bring them in the house.

Note to self: When snow is predicted bring in some equipment for practicing. Rolling Eyes
Way to go Simon.
Wow, the first time I saw the pic I thought it was "just" a walkway of some sort, it didn't dawn on me that it was falling away from underneath.

How cool is that???!?!!
