Bath Time Fun

I love giving Luna baths now. I've never had a dog who actually wanted to get in the tub. Now anytime I turn on the shower faucet, Luna is already to hop in the tub wether or not the bath is for her. Sometimes, I think she would knock me down just to get in! She's so funny.

Is it weird that when I give her a bath, that I always sud her up and spike her hair? I should take a picture of her, she looks like a punk rocker puppy!

I guess when we start house hunting this summer, I better look for a place with a BIG tub for her!

Does anyone elses sheepies love the bath time? I can't wait for summer, because I'm pretty sure if she loves baths, I think she would love to swim.

Our first sheepie (a cross) LOVED water. In fact, we had this wonderful groomer who just loved him to pieces, who would do such a great job on him. She'd dematt him, brush him out, blowdry him by hand, and then let him be free in the room while she did other dogs.

She had to stop that quickly though, as on more than one occasion he eagerly jumped BACK IN to the tub once he was completely done and caused her to have to start all over again.

He also loved to swim (I credit his beautiful tail for that...). All summer long he'd jump into the lake eagerly, swim out to the people, and rescue the pool noodles, bringing them safely to shore.

Of course that meant that anyone relying on the pool noodles to float and stay alive was left on their own screaming for help.

He also scared us a few times when he decided to swim out and chase loons. We once had to go after him in a canoe to get him to head back to shore. He also loved canoe rides, too.

That was BRANDON. Portage and Theeps both hate(d) the water, and sink like rocks. I've no desire to see how Hudson would fare. He's always convinced we are trying to kill him as it is.
Nah... Baloo tolerates bath time. He does not enjoy it. He always gives me these looks like... "OK Mom! That's enough sudsing... rinse and lets get this overwith!"
The girls love their baths - they race to the bathroom to be first. Ben, the Golden, is a mama's boy and won't get in the tub for my husband, but does it for me.

They also love to pay in the sprinklers. Or with the waterhose.

we have put our new house on hold right now. But we plan to have a large, open shower with a second showerhead and controls set 2 feet above the floor of the shower. With a handheld head on the second showerhead, it should be easy to wash them.
Archie is not keen on the bath, as that means going up those scary stairs 8O  (they are perfectly normal, I think he associates them with baths!)

On the other side of the coin however, he absolutely loves water, if there is a sniff of a river nearby, unless I am happy for him to go in, then best he be on the lead, otherwise I get the look  ooh water I am deaf I can't hear you :P and off he goes
Nope, not one bit. I think they sense how difficult it is for us to wash them and they'd rather not put us thru the pain. They are very kind.

MO loves her sprinklers......in fact they should be on here soon as the winter has been so dry. I'll have to dig out the towels.
Jenny loves bath time. We have a large wall in shower and I use the hand spray for her. However, she hates the blow dry part. Tries to bite the air and the blow dryer. My son holds her and I brush and blow dry at the same time.
