champagne gray color?

I have a gorgeous 68lb male, blue eyed with light gray / blue merle color in all the right places. He is about 18 months old. I am worried though about the color on his elbows on the front legs, the gray is a champagne gray color, not brown. I live in Florida and want to show him locally. Is this color on the elbows outside of the accepted breed norms. Will this be counted against him as a show dog or a stud? By the way Roger is as sweet and charming as they come and is first and most importantly my buddy.

Roger's Dad - sometimes the fur color can change due to sun damage. Being in FL - I don't know if maybe that could be the cause. Also - maybe that's the area that gets dirty the most - if he's lying around - maybe it is stained ???

Just a thought
