I'm a slacker

I don't know why, but I'm sitting here at work, doing everything BUT my work.

I'm just not into it today.

How can I get motivated? I have a ton of stuff to get done for year end.

Ugh

I'm no help. I feel the exact same way. I told Mr. J last night that I'm just worn out. Today I woke up feeling the same way, so decided to take the day off since I never get to or have taken one. I've slept when Joshee has, and I've been sitting in front of the tv with a pillow playing animal sounds with the kid. I refuse to cook dinner tonight too. pfft.

So I say just be lazy

ETA: Okay, well I am making ginger cookies today, but I'm hungry for them.
Just one of those days, I guess.
Yup, we all have those days. I'm having one as well. Think our bodies are crashing after the rush and work laden holidays.

It's 8:36am and I have to get prepared for work soon and I'm sitting on my butt replying to this post. :D

Ms J...LOve your new avatar!!!! There I did something productive today!

Marianne
Don't ask me. I'm having the same kind of day. I think we're using our energy to stay warm!
The windows are on the left.

Trial balance, triai balance yeah, yeah, yeah!
Window side, debits....wall side, credits....

Oh me too! Did haul the polished silver and brass back to church as they are needed soon. Got gasoline, told the Odyssey it would have to wait for a bath, came home, popped popcorn. Came here, but on way told Mt "wash-inton" I'd scale it tomorrow.

I have a garden article due by 3 pm. Any suggestions on a topic?? I'll sit here an munch popcorn while I await your reply. 8)
I know nothing about gardening! I leave it to Mr. J.

Still doing nothing of significance. Plan on taking the kids in the carrier and go bike riding around the neighborhood in a few, but right now I'm just sitting here rubbing my budda belly after eating 12 cookies.

You should talk to my Tony! We have a greenhouse setup in our basement, and in our 3rd bedroom. He raises palms and other tropicals. In the summer he hauls them all outside. Each year we bring 2 or three back from florida, and they are taking over our home!!!

But! We do have hibiscus blooming for Thanksgiving each year!
Oh what a wonderful hobby! I'm rather fond of palms and hint I'd sure love to live where they can grow naturally.......but so far it's all fallen on deaf ears. Summering outdoors is possible for you with the high humidity. Here it would mean they'd turn crispy in the ultra high sunlight and dry air. Actually there is one palm species that can grow here.....in the city and in protected locations. Down here by the river where the cold air sinks, they freeze out.

I'm out of popcorn and thrashing about with an article, but keep changing it's direction as I'm not settled on a goal. Not good. If I have a clear idea where I'm going, it's easy. Maybe I need a nap or other mind clearing activity
I vote for a glass of wine, and a good movie to get your creative juices flowing!
I'll drink to that! Actually once I narrowed focus, I got in the groove. Just need a wrap-up ending and then hope I'm withing allotted word limit. Meantime, MO is giving me the "eye"......feed me. OK, need a break myself. Feed the dogs, birds and open the freezer hoping something fall out and announces itsself "dinner." Already did the "I'm too pooped to cook, let's eat out" this week. Anyway, DH already hinted he must watch CSI tonight. It's going to be sappy.........
