I heard on the news a Dalmatian had 18 pups. That has to be crazy once they're up and moving around. 18 monsters going in all directions.
For a byb, that's probably a dream come true.  |

One dalmatian puppy was a handfull. I often think about how bad it would be to have a sheepie puppie and a dalmo puppy at the same time.  |

Don't about 20% of dalmatians have some form of hearing problem, too? So not only do you have 18 little crazies running around, you have the possibility of a few of those little nuts not even being able to hear you!
The breeder is going to need a long vacation when these guys are out of the house! |

Only about 8% of dalmos are bilaterally deaf. About 22% are deaf in one ear. Still with 18 pups there's a good chance of a deaf one or two. We joke that our dalmo is bilaterally deaf; but only some of the time. Like when we're calling him to go home from the park.  |
There were a few of us discussing this story at a show this weekend. All of us came to the conclusion we hope they all survive. In a litter that large I hope it all works out in the end.
I didn't see the video that was posted, but I had heard it's supposedly a world record. Dunno if it's true. |
