Bachelor 13
I wasn't excited about this season b/c the guy is just boring. Don't get me wrong, he seems like a nice conservative sweetheart and I LIKE THAT TYPE, but I didn't like him last season b/c I just didn't think it was "cute" like some other women watching him play with his kid. Plus, he was too "easy," and Deanna needed more of a challenge (like the basketball player she loved but turned her down). THEN.... the previews of Deanna coming back blew me away. I think she's a selfish <insert bad words>. UGh... The guy who won her heart the last season practically begged for her back when she broke up with him over the phone, and then went on tv to tell everyone (which was retarded). We think she likes the ideal of being with this current bachelor, but wouldn't REALLY like him past the show FOR THE SAME REASON why she didn't work out with this last guy (too easy, too nice). She wanted a "rougher" type of guy. So many good shows on. My DVR goes into overdrive on Mondays. Also watching Momma's Boys which is interesting (and House, and Two and a Half Men, and that Dancing w/the Stars spin off). |

Superstars of Dance is actually made by the same people as So You Think You Can Dance except it isn't as good! I never get tired of watching the Shaolin monks though. Did you know Michael Flatley isn't even from Ireland? He's from Chicago. I guess he lives in Ireland now and has for awhile but he was in Chicago until at least after high school. I think he totally fakes that accent. Sorry, I highjacked the thread. |

We actually haven't even seen SOD yet. We had planned to watch this weekend and then decide whether or not to continue to record. Seemed interesting, but kinda glad it isn't, b/c there's too much to keep up with. |

| I'm making Dave watch this with me. I liked Deanna when I watched her season- but now I think she's a total b. She totally just came back for some more tv time... I agree that the only guy she was really into was the basketball player. |
Well for once a bachelor addressed the pettiness back at the house being brought to his attention. Although I am not sure he went about it in the right way. 
I cannot stand Megan - what was with the breastfeeding baby on her bust artwork. And I think that Shannon is one step from the looney bin.  |

I actually think there are a lot of good girls this season which makes it kinda boring. I cant' wait to see deanna back. BTW, did anyone catch that one perfectionist girl w/black hair go in for a kiss and COMPLETELY dive in ...in the wrong direction?!?!?! I had to rewind that scene just to watch it again. DANG HILARIOUS!!! FWIW, I do not think he wanted to keep her. I think he was FORCED to kiss her b/c she made that stupid dive, and then felt obligated to keep her around a little longer. I hate erica and megan. i'm terrible w/names. |
| Jillian and Melissa are my favorites too.
I don't think most of the girls are normal. Stephanie is so creepy looking after obviously having had plastic surgery. |
| Oh my... thank goodness naomi left. I never saw anything in them!!! ...and I didn't know why it took him so long to get rid of that old chick (the week before) ...as if it was a hard decision. He couldn't even kiss the chick!!! She made me sick to my stomach ...as did her singing.
I think Jill is a lot like the basketball player from deanna's season. Someone he wants to love, someone he likes a lot, BUT she's not the type to really show a lot of emotions and he wants more. As a result, I think she gets the boot. I LOVE molly and him and you can tell he brightens up when he sees her. I saw a pic of his ex wife... and they have similiar traits. She's also very pretty. However, I also love Melissa. She so reminds me of jessica simpson with her ...almost buck teeth (but it's cute). I totally understand why her parents wouldn't want to be on tv and in fact... am surprised so many are willing. Who the heck cares if this is for your daughter and love ....the way I look at it.... ....I don't want to be on tv, IN MY houSE, ....exposing parts of me on tv. My husband thinks it hurt her a lot though. |
| I think Molly seems a bit more mature than Melissa.
I agree there is something not quite right with the chemistry with Jillian. My choice would be Molly but I am guessing he picks Melissa. I give the relationship three weeks before it ends. LOL |
Even with all the "spoilers" out there on the internet I was not entirely expecting him to change his mind about which one he chose. I just figured that the "twist" would be that he chose neither one or something like that. Did anyone see Jimmy Kimmel last night? It was hilarious. But the thing I realized it they really have these people bound contractually to do everything on television otherwise no way would Melissa or Jason agree to have that final conversation in front of the cameras. I would love to see what kind of contracts are drawn up that no one in the entire history of the show has said "forget it I am not coming back for the "after the rose" tapings". I am assuming there are "fines" but surely someone out there could drag it out in a court case, refusing to pay the fine, etc. Look at OJ, he did everything he could to avoid paying the Goldmans and got away with it. Not to mention the millions of exes that don't pay child support even though the courts have ordered it. |

I was surprised but not shocked by the change of choice. I was really moved by the "I chose melissa because I felt she needed me," and I have always thought that was important in a relationship. Of course you'd have to watch the whole season to understand he wasn't saying she was needy, but compared to Molly who was unexpressive/independent/unemotional (like my husband) ...it just seemed like a better fit for a guy like him imho. Again, I'm old fashion. I am NOT mad at Jason. I thought it had to be SO HARD for him to pick one when he could seriously see himself with both of them, and hadn't had enough time to really know which was the better choice. I totally believe everything he said. He is a REAL genuine guy and do feel he was honest throughout the entire show. Both mr. j and I had that feeling. On the flip side, I totally felt for Melissa. What a dang slap in the face. Her emotions were as real as they get and I understood her anger. Jason, in her eyes, banged her and I imagine they had a great time over Christmas and then said nah... I rather have Molly now. This will cause problems between Molly and him. Mr. J doesn't think it'll work out. I hope it does just because Jason deserves it. I hope Melissa NOT jillian is the next bachelorette. |
| I was really mad at Jason when I watched the episode and felt badly for Melissa. However, the situation on the Bachelor is so unrealistic to begin with that I can see how easily it could turn out the way it did. My husband is horrified I watch it . But I enjoy the escapism after a shift of dealing with pediatric cancer it takes my mind to a completely different place.
I don't hold out much hope for Jason and Molly to live happily ever after but life is full of happy surprises so who knows. |
