Lunch--January 18, Lake Zurich IL--Hackney's

Let's do lunch January 18th at 1pm at Hackney's Restaurant (home of the famous onyum loaf) in Lake Zurich. Unfortunately sheepies are not invited since this is indoors. We met last year and had a blast. Hackney's is at 880 N. Rand Rd. (just north of Route 22) in Lake Zurich. Lots of food, fun and friends.

(I'm assuming tip is automatically added to the bill, and we split the bill evenly by the number of people).

Please RSVP to me or debcram by the 16th so I can call for a table. Be there or be square!

I am soooooooooooooooooooooooo there! Last year, Jan Gutherie was there, but had to leave early to transport 2 sheepie sisters to Wi rescue. Guess what?! Sheriff Lizzie was one of the sisters!!!!!

We all had a really good time. But because of the size of the group, we can't get individual checks, so the easiest way is equally split the bill. I know some folks were a little upset because some of "us" had drinks, while others didn't...but no one abused the system. Maybe if you are eating light, and we get deal Juliette the waitress, you can talk her into a separate check. But I can't promise.

Also, we never know where we will be seated, so you'll need to walk around the restaurant to find us. But we'll be there, and we will be noisy!

Can't wait to see you all out there!!!!!!

ONYUM LOAF ROCKS! :yay:
See you there! That's a busy "girls" weekend for me as I have scrapbooking group all day on Saturday. Bye bye, Stevie! Eh, he won't even notice :D

I will be asking for a separate check since I obviously can't drink nor eat the onion loaf. But I want to see you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stacy, Steve is more than welcome to join us. It's not just for us girls!
Stacy, I'm going to "schlep" Tony with me, so tell Steve, he'll have good company!
POOP!!! I have to work...I think. There was something else going on that weekend...I think.

Would someone please tell my brain to come back from vacation???? I'm really missing it!!!
Come on!!! You need us to show you how much you are loved after your "terrific" vacation!!!! Maybe you could drive with Kristine!

Sorry, Deb. My social life is exclusively dedicated to "dog stuff" and completely booked with same. I can't remember the last time I went out to eat with a bunch of people unless you count someone sharing a spread of snacks at their grooming table after judging is over

The 18th is an agility run-thru followed by Che's obedience class.

Hope ya'll have a great time though! :D

Isn't it sad?

And, worse, it's not like I miss it!!!

A couple of agility friends and I used to go out to dinner once or twice a year, but we don't even do that any more. Worse! I don't miss it. I see them at trials. We can grab a bite at Culvers on the way home, right?

Deb, I miss seeing you too. If spring ever comes...

I hope the Princess didn't pull you off your feet. Hope you feel better soon.

Kristine
Maybe you guys can hold up a Happy Birthday sign for our dear Ron. I think it's his birthday, and you know how much he'd appreciate a day in honor of him :)
Isn't every day an "honor Ron" day??? (our fearless captain)

Maybe when Todd and I were out?
Although it was sort of dog related, as you were babysitting Chewie. And that was way back the end of August.

Well, that's true and Gale and I also went there last New Year's Eve weekend on our way home from the show where Bebe finished her RAE. I guess I don't count dining events that involve Minnesotans on the lookout for a fish fry and a good (is this an oxymoron?) polka band 8O

Sunny and Marnie and I get together for dinner some times, but dinner with you and Todd qualifies as the first voluntary dining experience in recent memory that didn't exclusively involve "talking dogs".

Princess Elizabeth is once again a hero. She didn't pull me, and while I was "out" she stayed right with me, licking me.

She is not a smart dog...sorry, but its true. But, she has the best instincts of any dog I have ever know. Had I been with smartypants Keira (border collie) she would have looked at me and thought, ok...moms down...RUN!!!!! Not Liz, she watched over me.

I woof her completely :hearts:

I woof her too

But never underestimate sheepdog smarts. Some of the seemingly dumbest ones you'd ever imagine are actually quite selectively brilliant in the ways that matter.

Would Keira consider that if you never got up Tony may not be smart enough to figure out how to find the kibble and put it in a bowl? 8O :twitch:

Hm... :lmt: Yeah, I guess you could call that instinct.

Plus she's a fundamentally kind dog. Maybe she should be doing therapy work?

Of course, lately she's had her paws full with YOU. You can stop getting injured already. Three's your limit. :P

I've often thought that her kindness would be a sign of greatness - therapy dog wise, but alas...she is afraid of men. And so, I don't think that is in her future.

She's a gem. She's a treasure. And Kristine, I'm very grateful she is ours :D
I pm'd Paula, but Melissa and I will be there Sunday. :D
 :clappurple: :cheer: :aww:  :yay:

Can't wait to see you girls!!!!!
eat extra yumonion loaf for me! :D
I can't make it. My friend bought a horse and we were supposed to pick him up today, but cancelled due to the wind. She's going to get him tomorrow and I want to be there for moral support. So have a Scotch and an onyum loaf for me!

Why do two fun things happen on the same day??????
I just talked to Deborah. We decided that since is so cr@ppy, we are cancelling the get-together tomorrow. Look for a re-schedule in March!

Debbie!!! You didn't miss it! It got cancelled. We're going to reschedule for late March or early April, when the weather isn't so crazy.

Same from me.

So sorry to read of your Mom's condition.
Ok, weird question. Is Hackney's the place that has peanuts that you can throw on the floor and AWESOME hot dogs and pizza? Oh, and the theme of the decorator was dead animals and really heavy wood doors?
No no...you're thinking of Bill's Pizza. Hackneys has Hackney burgers and ONYUM LOAF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are SO right! I did eat way to much at Bill's the last time I was there...and the heartburn was just AWESOME! :?
Bills is pretty darned delicious! Mmmm...I love those peanuts, too!
Where is Bill's? Do we need to make a road trip?????
When its Pizza time, yes!

There is one in Mundelein, on rte 45, north of 60, and one in Grayslake, on Washington, just west of 45.

Good pizza, fun place.
Ooooh, now I remember, I've been to the Bill's in Mundelein. When I was married we lived just a few blocks away. Pizza wasn't all that great and lots of good ol' boys. We'll stick with Hackney's.

I haven't had deep dish pizza in years so we have to do Gino's when it's pizza time.
Paula!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe you lived that close to me!!!!
