Weaning to adult food

Tiggy is coming up to 11 months old soon so I will start to wean her on to adult food soon.

She had quite a sensitive stomach up till about 5 months old so I want to try and prevent any problems. How did you guys go about it, in terms of ratios and timelines etc? Your advice and experiences will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Mim

Hi Mim what you do is transition over a week or so, so not to upset her system. Whatever you are on get the same in the adult brand.

Start by 1/4 adult into the previous one for a few days, wait and see how her stools are if no problems then take the ratio to 1/2 adult 1/2 puppy once again for a few days. If all is looking normal then 3/4 adult to 1/4 puppy keep seeing all is OK then all adult by about just over a week.
Ditto to what Lisa said. Obe has a very sensitive tummy. I did all his food transitions over a 2 week period because of tummy. Same as Lisa suggested only a week longer.
