Conformation and Rally weekend

This is an FYI to all of you who are looking for shows. Plus the opportunity to do rally.

The St. Charles Kennel Club is hosting a show and rally trial on January 24th and 25th in Lake St. Louis, MO. It sounds like a few sheepdogs might be making the trek for the show. And for entertainment Heart and Harry will be attempting their first rally trial outside the safety net of Nationals.

You can register through Onofrio and the closing date is January 7th.

We would love to see anyone who might be interested.

Hey girls in Minnesota and Wisconsin doesn't this sound like a fun weekend trip?
At the very least I can feed you if you show up - although that might be more of a punishment that a reward  .

ME TOO.

I was going to say, no hope. Weather. Too many dogs. But I will look just in case. There is a rescue OES here in WI looking for rally opportunities and she's sort of dragging me along even though we are NOT ready in my opinion...

Judi - don't worry about the cooking. All I know how to make is dog biscuits so anything you can make above and beyond that is bound to be quite wonderful by my standards.

wow for that I might reconsider my hesitation to fly the dogs
Winston and I would love to come down and cheer all of you on. I will need to see what the weather does - - - this has been a bad winter and I am not sure how the roads will be - - - -do you have suggestions of places to stay?
I might register Jake. Sounds like fun! :)
OK, we are in!
I am entering online tonight.
LeAnne and kids are coming with too - just as spectators and moral support. Also, my friend Donna and her TFT's and Chihuahuas are entering, so we are carpooling down together. LeAnne will be helping her show "the littles" as well. :D

So, how many air mattresses do we need????
8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O
(LeAnne and I each do have them, just a matter of packing/cramming them in Donna's van. Oh, Martha is coming too. Her new plan is to be a spectator to build her confidence.)

Stephanie and Winston, are you coming?? We can caravan down...again. :D
GREAT!!!! Dawn.....I can put anyone up for a couple of nights...Steph???? Winny???? Come on Down....Between a few of the St. Louis people we can make sure you have a comfy place to stay!!!!! WHOO--HOO----can't wait!!!!!
I double-checked and Sybil's entered in agility that Sunday, herding class on Sat. So we're sidelined for now.

Actually, that's really true since she came into season this weekend. I had her on the table blowdrying her to get ready to leave for a rally trial when I happened to notice. So she had stay home (on the plus side your fellow Novice A rally team of Jan Guthrie and rescue dog Sadie got their first leg today with a very respectable 92! :D )

Once I started doing butt checks it turned out all three of my own bitches were in season, in addition to Sunny's puppy bitch who probably pulled them all in. Now I just have to pray that Sybil is out before the agility trial. :plead:

Either way and regardless of baths they can remain rather fragrantly pleasing to not so clued in boy dogs, so probably just as well they won't be there,. Although it would probably give Heart a paw up on the boys :lmt:

(psst - Val - how much is it worth to you...? 8) )

Hopefully next time.

hey, don't forget about Martha!

She charges and rolls her brother Chewie, so Heart will have plenty of girl power help.

This weekend Chewie was little....constipated. We pulled up at their apt, and he was sooo happy and was out in the snowy lawn trying to poop. LeAnne had the dogs out too, and she made a run at Chewie as soon as she saw him. Poor Chewie - in the pooping tripod pose, he didn't stand a chance. She sideswiped him twice, from both directions.
LOL///////////////////////// :D :D :D

Poor Chewie!!!!!!!

Not really. That's what boys are for  Although some times they get their own back.

I finally got Che into an obedience class. The instructor is an OTCh trainer with BCs. I wondered how she'd feel about working with an OES and I think she wondered too

About halfway through class we were working on recalls and she said with great sincerity "what a wonderful Old English". She noted how closely he pays attention to me. Well, I figure it's because he's so HAPPY to be away from his **% sisters and to have MY full attention. We had fun. On the way home I was praising him and noted: "see, I told you I'd find you a better hobby!"

We were barely in the door before he reverted to his old one: humping Sybil

Oh, yeah, gonna be a while before they can be out in public together

Don't knock the Dog Cop - there are times with Harry that police intervention is needed.

   The only time I can think of a needed Dog Cop intervention was in the hotel room at Nationals when we were at Top 20. If Winston had been there, maybe little Heart would still have her hair bling - - probably not though - - -more than likely we all would have been kicked out of the hotel and would have had to have slept in our cars!!! :)

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh Steph!

Don't bring up the "bling" word. Some delusional mother keeps blaming my sweet boy for her little harlot's stripping behavior.

Delusional MOTHER HERE!!!!!!!! :twitch: :twitch: :twitch:

Wasn't going to bring it up....BUT.....FYI all you lovely forum members...

Heart was also robbed of her Christmas snowflake BLING at the STLOES annual Christmas party this year!!!!

(...and since Harry is the only boy that Heart plays with, it does NOT take a Sherlock to figure out where ended up....in Judi's back yard!!!!!!)
Oh no - - - - what have I done? I am sorry to bring up the bling - - - -

looks like I won't be invited to Judi's for dinner anymore and I think Val will forget to meet me at the airport

Nah!!! Steph.....We know that our dear friend Judi has a blind spot when it comes to her Harry.... 8O 8O  but since he IS so cute he can abuse my girl anytime he wants...(actually Heart comes home from a play date with Harry and abuses poor Coz...she thinks everyone should play as rough as Harry>>>>>>>>   )
Good news - glad you can make it, Steph. :D :D
Too bad no Winston, but he and dad can have guy time. :D

Judi - I sent you an email (home address) last night, BTW.
Dawn...Cant wait to see ALL of you!!!!! Whoo-HOO!! Party at Judi's!!!!! then my house!!!! WHOO-HOO...when are we going to find time to go to te show???????
