Three of a kind

Although Zorro has now been with us for 10 months this is the first time I have managed to get a photo of the three of them together, please excuse the dirty beards on the boys. 8)

Zorro left Misty in the middle and Hamish on the right.

Oh Misty was washed just before Christmas, you can't expect a LADY to meet Santa when she is dirty and her hair has not been styled. :D And Elissa the boys could not care less, boys will be boys. 8)
Great pic! Three wise men or three wise monkeys?
Here is a foto of Zorro taken on Boxing Day waiting for Santa to come back, he has high hopes. :)

Allison maybe someday you could show me how to do that it would be nice to see Zorro with a clean beard. :D

Not a problem; if you have Photoshop, it can be quite easy. That being said, Zorro was harder than my girls to digitally clean up. The regular "fix" I do did not work on him. So I had to get a bit creative. Once the admin approves the photo, I'll post it for you to see what I did.

Ahhh I forgot you were an artist. How clever. You cant believe even what your eyes tell you these days
You did a great job though, I wouldnt have picked it.

don't i know it! Fortunately, my girls beards aren't really that dirty; just a little discolored. I opened one of my fixed photos and compared it to one that was right out of the camera, and the results weren't as bad as I imagined. Bathed, my girls clean up nicely; its the in-between times that they begin to look a nightmare!
ok; admin approved my photo. the inset picture is before I did any digital photo editing. Of course, after I did it, I realized that they weren't from the same photo, but it was the same photo shoot with the same lighting, so its no big deal.

Image

Luna's beard is pretty white in the before shot; but she had been at the groomers that day. All I really did in Photoshop was adjust for how yellow the lighting seemed to make everything. And I think i made her blue eye blue again.
I think Luna was stupendously clean right from the beginning. The lighting was yellow but your right it didnt make a lot of difference to her beard.
Maybe I'll have to have a word with Santa Paws about the big Christmas bone that Tiggy has fallen in lurv with. As her beard is much grottier AND stinkier since Christmas :)
As I am looking back at older photos, some have REALLY yucky faces, and others are really clean. I don't think my girls are stained so much as they like to eat dirt, and dirty things. And that seems to wash out pretty well.
Thanks Allison he looks great, if it was only that easy at shows life would be much easier. :D
If you had said the inset photo was touched up I would have believed you!!
Beautiful! :D It's nice to finally get to see Zorro, too. Don't worry about the dirty beards. We live that way, too. It's so realistic.

Alison's photos are always terrific. She's very talented. :D

thank you; but I like to think I'm only as good as my tools, and my models. Sheepdogs make excellent photo subject matter!!!

Oh if only you knew, we have had a few sheepies in our life but he beats them all, he is clumsy, he is a sponge and sucks dirt up, and he is a thief but he is soooo loveable and a great big cuddly bear. You can't help but love him. :D

I think that statement alone makes Zorro an excellent example of the breed standard!!!!
Although Zorro was in bad shape when he came to us I was able to tell he had potential, he has in my opinion two faults he has two dropped teeth and far too much fell, but otherwise he is an excellent example of an Old English Sheepdog. :)
I L O V E all the pics! They are cute!!!
I just love your description of his character, Stewart! He sounds like a perfect sheepdog to me. :D
Great pictures!!! These shots made me realize how tiny Jackson is!!! I have never seen a sheepie in 'real life' besides Jacks and her family, and for some reason the pups in the Christmas shots look enormous!!! Grow baby, Grow!!!
Tonks and Luna rae pretty small at a dainty 65 pounds at just over 1 year old.

that's a good size female I think - Marley is in the same range, now that she has started eating.

I grew up with 100 pound females that weren't fat; so I think my perspective is wonky.
Allison our Misty weighes in at 32.5 kilos so Tonks and Luna ar a nice weight. :)

Lacy got weighed yesterday and was exactly 100 lbs. Unfortunately, she's short-ish....so while my two males are in the same range, they are in good shape. She's -- rotund. We tell her it's ok, big is beautiful.
