| The Hippo song was used as a fund raiser for the Oklahoma City Zoo in 1953, to get a hippo "for Gayla." Kids sent in their nickles and dimes to her, which she turned over to the zoo.
So when you hear the song, remember that it allowed thousands of kids to actually see a hippo. It may make it easier to put up with the song by knowing that. |
| I don't mind the song, it's just a sticker. Once you hear it, it's hard to push it back out......you end up humming or singing it. Not exactly a Christmas song........LOL! |
