Anxiously awaiting

Hello all,
I've been reading the forum for several weeks, and feel at home. Thanks. I've also learned alot about OES, and my husband and I are seriously wanting to rescue an adult female. We are empty nesters with a wonderful life to share, and time to commit. Our last dog crossed over in Feb 06, and we're finally ready. He was a Yorkie, what a change this will be!! We're ready though, and can't wait. I've been scouring the rescue sites, and anxiously await. I love reading about your babies' antics and their photos! Can't wait to have one of my own to brag about! Thanks for all you share, and I'll be needing lots of help..hopefully soon! Merry Christmas to all!!
(I hope I posted this correctly and in the right place???)

It could go in intorductions, unless you're asking for help to rescue, in which case... where are you?

Welcome!
Welcome to the fourm. I am sure you will find your girl soon. !!! We have done rescue too All girls, they are such a joy.
Welcome from Colorado and hope you get find your OES soon. It will be worth the wait.
Sorry, I should have posted in introductions, but I couldn't find the button, is it locked?? Anyway to clarify, I am looking for an OES girl that we'd like to rescue. I am in Huntington WV. I will work on my profile, [/list]
Please don't apologize, this is a big place!

The Introductions forum is way down the list of forums about 4 or 5 from the bottom on the main page.

Posting an intorduction there is not a requirement! So feel free to post there or not, depending on how you feel. We're pretty easy going. Well, except for Mrs. J. ;)

I'll keep my eye out for Mrs. J, LOL! Thanks again!
Good luck with your hunt for your new OES family member. :D
hope you find a new dog soon. keep us posted please....ps I have an old english and a yorkie....
Oh so adorable! I do my miss my little Foxx buddy. I wouldn't have thought about combining the pair..but its really a matter of the heart, isn't it??? Which is Tilly? I love the name, and keep wondering what I'll call my new girl, unless she is too attached to her name. Rescues might not always come with a name.. I'm overthinking again!!! LOL!!
Welcome to the Forum. My Violet was a rescue when she was 9 mts old she is now 6 years. I did keep her name because it fit her. Violet is a wall eye sheepie (one blue eye and one brown). I have since rescued an Aussie with whom I changed her name. So the name things is all up to you. We do have a few threads about name changes if you would like to see other's opinions on name changes.

I hope you get your sweet sheepie girl soon!
Welcome to the forum, Aunty Bren! We just adopted our Sammie a month ago and drove down to WV to meet the rescue, who came in from IN. She's such a love and we're SO thrilled with her. She's our 4th sheepie. You will find out that once you have a sheepie, you will ALWAYS want another!

Good luck in your search!
Welcome Aunty Bren!!!!

From St. Louis..Pearl, (OES)my 12 year old rescue, Heart, (OES) my 18 month old terror and Coz (Beardie)...my 'middle' child!!! and MEEEEE!!!!!

Keep us posted and we ALL wish you luck in your rearch for your forever pupper!!!!
Thank you all for making me feel so welcome! What a wonderful group, and looking forward to all your support for the 'newbie'. I didn't realize that OES was addictive, I'll break it to my husband gently, :o ! Drezzie's Mom, I actually saw Sammie's picture on a rescue or petfinder site during my web patrol. Gorgeous! I'd like to get involved in transport sometime..sounds very rewarding and much needed.
Welcome!! Hope you find a girl real soon. OES are definitely addictive as far as I'm concerned. I've had Tiggy for 8 months and I cant imagine not having a sheepie. I have a dalmatian too. Its really funny to see people's reactions to them both at the off lead park. For some reason most seem to think that they are not dogs who go together. And they comment a lot :? :?
Whereas my opinion is a dog who needs no grooming goes really well with a dog who needs heaps of grooming
And the dogs couldnt care less. Tiggy just loves Rastus like a big brother and follows him everywhere and drives him crazy. :D :D
Those of us with 2 or more can certainly tell you how addictive they are. People who have never known one never understand us. (my husband still doesn't get it...but he is so sweet he never tells me no)

Welcome from Nigel and Bella...and me, of course.
