Ex girlfriend invites to her place for xmas

She lives in Knoxville. My ex-girlfriend Cindy, that I dated in high school and several years after, invited me to her house for the holidays. This was a surprise to say the least. We have remained friends over the years, wish each other happy b-days, etc. So to get a message was not a big deal but was not expecting to read "you can come here for the holidays".

This whole thing started as I sent her a message wishing her b-day. When I saw she replied I figured it was a thank you. Surprise, Surprise, Surprise.

Interesting - so, are you going??? :)
Sounds exciting! ...except for the fact this would be another long distance relationship. Always hard to do.
Do you want to go? As in, are you still interested in her? Usually there's a reason they are exes. But very interesting!
Not sure if I'm going or not. Really short notice. Need to make up mind today. Most likely will not. I am going back to Knox in May or June, for class reunion.

Maybe I could stay with her then, and she could go to the reunion as my date. High School reunion with high school sweetheart kind of funny.

No there would not be a relationship, long distance. She would not move to Co (doesnt really like the cold) and I will not move back to TN so that is out of the question. That alone was the main reason we started having problems. We finally split and I moved to Co.

I really was not planning on doing any type of travel over the holidays expect for skiing and dinner parties. Dont really want to dig into any of my savings at the moment. Laid off, getting a new a tv around superbowl, and just paid off c.card.

My step mom wanted me to come to Fla for xmas and told her No I couldn't. She would be furious if she found out I went to stay with Cindy over the holidays. Cindy and I dated for 8-9 years and those two never got along at all. The conversation(s) consisted of Hi, bye, b***h.
Well, that must have been a surprise! Sounds like she's on the prowl again. Best wait until summer. You have a good excuse right now, no job!

Speaking of skiing, do you jump over to Echo very often....it's rather close by. OK, it's small without much vertical.....but close.
I have not been there yet. Last year I heard it was just a big terrain park. They supposedly open a new area and it is a mixture of tree skiing mixed with a terrain park. So regular skiing with rails, boxes, jumps, etc. thrown in. I want to go check it out. I have heard good things about the place.
