WHITE GSD IS WESTBOUND!!
Darlington, MD to Green Bay, WI
Saturday, December 20 – Sunday, December 21, 2008
Route: MD PA OH IN IL WI Juliette (pic coming soon) is a quiet and affectionate white GSD that needs to get from her temporary foster home in Darlington, MD to rescue in Green Bay, WI. She was living on borrowed time at a very full "kill" shelter in MD after she and her mate (a very bonded pair) were seized, along with their litter of puppies, by animal control. Her mate and puppies all adopted, leaving Juliette by herself and lonely, waiting for someone to save her. Please help this forgotten and neglected girl one step closer to the best life she's likely ever known!!

I'm helping you! I'll get her from Gurnee and get her to you. I'm assuming you'll get her to Milwaukee. Is that correct?

Well, we have to contact the transport coordinator, but that was what I was thinking, with the offer of me driving to Sheboygan if they can't cover that.

Been looking at the weather. I wonder if they have a back-up plan for weenies who won't drive in snow? 8O

I'll e-mail you.

KB
The back up plan is I will have 7 dogs for christmas :D I have to find the web sight that lets you track this hmmmm

Yup, Deb & I saw that. But if something happens you have my cell phone number. Well, you will in a moment

Though I will no doubt be having 7 dogs for Christmas at this rate as oddly enough I still have Daphne the Fruit Loop    We've had a ton of inquiries for her from your part of the world, but I don't think most of them "get" her. I refer them to G/A.

That's OK. Already planning the little miss' stocking. Daphne's, not Annie's

But NO, she's NOT staying.

On the plus side, "my" little boy of pelt fame goes to his new home on Thursday. He's been staying with my vet and her fiance and I got to see him when I picked up Liz today, sans reproductive organs. It was lunch time and no other clients so Amy let him run around the clinic. He's grown hair and a personality and is absolutely fabulous, play bowing to me, and butt tucking around the clinic. I hope he'll be happy in his new home.

Best of luck with "your" little girl and I'm home this weekend if something comes up.

Kristine
I have a fruit loop here too but I am keeping her One day we need to chat about her "issues" I think I will bring Guinness and a shepherd to sheepiepalooza next year I don't want to traumatize my new friends with Molly yet :)
I'm disappointed, not being able to help. And disappointed at not being able to see Kristine!

Good luck with the transport. Kristine, let me know if you get a last minute call...I'll be home.

Oh yea...my resident fruit loop, sends her love!
Ohio folks Please see if you can help me get this little girl home for christmas one run in PA too. Thanks :D
Please help Cindy remain happily married and out of the "doghouse" herself by getting Juliette to Wisconsin.

There are two legs of this transport in western PA/eastern Ohio that still need filled. If anyone can help. please e-mail Tanya directly: pupsavr4life@cox.net

Here's what's needed to complete the trip:

WASHINGTON, PA to CAMBRIDGE, OH (I-70)
(1hr 19mins, 80 miles) 1:35pm – 2:55pm

Cindy....
Do you want me to ask my sister???
She is north of Columbus but, knows more people
now than I do in Ohio!
Please please please ask Thanks kathy and big hugs to Nita doing two legs to keep me from sleeping in the barn.......
to Nita

:ghug:

from Cindy and Juliette
Still waiting for confirmation but it looks like drivers have been found! :go: :go: :go:

Do you think that having only six dogs will convince Bob to let you out of the barn for Christmas?
It looks like this will be a go. I am hoping not to be sleeping in the barn but will have 6 dogs to keep me warm :D He has been such a good guy about all of this BUT I believe he has just given up.
Update?

Did she make it home for Christmas?

Are you sleeping in the house still?

Kristine
Yes, they made it, as well as a couple beagle/basset crosses who hitched a ride as well (per Nita).

I don't know about the barn vs house situation though..... :D
Yes she made it (and two other cuties as well) THANK YOU all so much for helping these (and offering to help) dogs. I knew I could count on my OES buddies. I am still in the house . My barn is totally empty....
Here's a pic of Juliette, Sherlock and Mack in Lafayette, IN. :-)

:D :D :D

I absolutely LUV this whole thread.
