kittens and car engines don't mix

a feral cat had kittens in my backyard and unfortunately they chose my car engine for a place to sleep- now the kittens have gone to kitty heaven and my car is in the shop with 2500.00 damage.
What a way to go- poor little kittens- this is so sad- I am just torn up over this.
I'm going to have to catch the mother cat, spay her and return her to a different area or something.
I just wanted to post about the kittens somewhere so that they get some sweet thoughts- they were absolutely adorable. UGH

ewww, ick....

im sorry mark...bet it was pretty traumatic.....we have sooo many ferral cats here, im glad that we have a garage to park in........

poor kitties!
How sad
bless them. I am on another forum and we have a kitty rainbow bridge. I will post it on there so they get sent over the Bridge with lots of kind vibes...
Oh, that is just horrible. :(
We had many near misses of just that kind of thing with our farm cats when I was growing up. Kitties love someplace warm and can't forsee the danger.
Sorry about the large bill for your car too.
Oh Jeeeeez, that is horrible on so many levels. Sorry you were picked.
Good luck trying to snare mama.
Poor babies :(
I posted on another forum and rest assured those kitties are together now. these were some of the posts that were left.
My post......A member of a dog forum has posted about some feral kittens that have died as he wanted them to be remembered somewhere, and I knew that we would care.
They were born in Los Angeles to a feral cat and unfortunately to keep warm they nestled in the car engine to sleep, and fell asleep for ever. The chap is so sad he said they were so beautiful.

Play together over the Bridge kitties, RIP.

RIP feral kittens. Hope you are playing and growing up happily together at the Rainbow Bridge xx

Oh that's so tragic. Poor little innocent mites.

RIP babies, poor Mum.

So sad, RIP darlings, together forever.

RIP little kitties, have fun over the Bridge xx

Best wishes :o)
so sorry - this happened to my son when he had his first car.

before we moved and got a garage, we always would thimp on the hood of the car before we started it - usually would scare away the "barn" and neighborhood cats.
Thank you all so much for the messages- especially KTB
Such a kind thing to do posting it again.
I don't think I will ever be able to start a car again without the fear of something like that happening.
I just can't get the image out of my head
Thanks again
Mark
That is heartbreaking, so sorry you had to witness that
Oh Marc - what a sad thing to have happen. So sorry. :(
