How do you find Jeans to FIT

I have a hard time finding jeans to fit me. I have a flat butt and thin legs.
NOT FUNNY. I look awfull in most jeans that are so loose in the legs and back end. What do you buy?

I don't have too flat of a butt (yet) but a slim fitting brand is faded glory. I'm not sure what places carry them, but I do know they are at Walmart.
I have a khaki denim pair that are in the boot cut, and a pair of cords that are slim fit. Both are nice and fit well at a decent price.
When I wear either pair I get lots of compliments on the weight I have lost - so that is a good thing! :)
I have no butt and thin legs and get mine at Ann Taylor. My mom does as well. Calvin Klein has nice pants too. I know some places custom fit them to your body. Was it a place like Target? I forgot, but I remember moms raving about some cheap place where you can special order them.
No fashion statement here  I have no butt and skinny legs and I get my jeans at Wallmart I buy the gloria vanderbilt ones and they fit
4 of you with missing butts and thin legs.........hey, I know where yours' are, please come and reclaim them!!!

Actually, i don't think it has "much" to do with our figures.

they are making jeans really weird nowadays. it's like all of a sudden butt cracks are all the rave.

plumbers have had the last laugh.
I'm the opposite- I have a big butt & fat legs but a slim stomach. I can never get jeans to fit. I can't get the correct waist size past my thighs & the larger size is waaaay too big around the waist, even if I take them in :(

I've given up on jeans altogether 8)
I also will add to this. I am 5'9" so I need tall and I am a size 12. I tried a size 10 but its tight in the waist.
D....from yet another flat toosh and skinny legs......

ann taylor and the limited have the best fitting jeans....no matter what size you are, remember to fit thru the thigh and fall straight down from there.....so, more than likely a straight leg will look better than skinny or boot cut.....

jeans and bras (especially bras now days) are the hardest to fit....oy vey! just keep trying them on, till you find something that you like and stick with it!

and susan....im not an indian giver, you can keep my butt and thighs
Thanks Darcy, I have quite a collection going now. Too bad they are all on display........... :?
bras are the EASIEST! Nordstrom or equivalent have a bra for everyone and fit you the right way. From my experience, VS don't fit people correctly, and do not carry all sizes.

yeah, but what do you do when you are 2 completely different cup sizes? 8O buy 2, cut them in half and sew them together??? im just opting for 1 more surgery..lol.....i dont care what they look like, just make 'em even!
Deana, Have you tried the Gap? They have millions of different styles that might work. You'd probably have to be ready to try on a lot of different ones, but it could be worth it.

I love jeans....

These are the HARDEST to find!! I must've tried on every pair of jeans (except Ann Taylor) in the mall when I was looking recently. I'll have to check out that store. That's the fit I am looking for and it is so difficult to find. Everything seems to have that silouette look that narrows at the knees - NOT FLATTERING for me.

Good luck D! I feel your pain (without the no butt and skinny legs, though).

You got me!! 8)
I have plenty to fill in my jeans with... so your problem is not mine. However, my slim small butted and legged girlfriends (both tall and short) have WONDERFUL look with CAbi jeans (Carol Anderson by Invitation). They are expensive, but they make a flat butt look like it has a nice shape, while fitting great everywhere else. They come in two lengths... I THINK those length are 31/32 and then 36. So, they'll work for tall or shorter gals. They look great on them.

Good luck!
They sound nice. What store are they in. I would rather have 1 good pair that fit good than 3 that are baggie. Let me know.
As a rule, jeans that are big on top and taper towards the ankle flatter NO ONE! Bad, bad, bad!

Like Darcy said, fit through the thigh and fall straight from there. Even a full wide leg can look good if you're tall. Jeans are tough. It's really a trial and error thing. Boot cut to one company is straight to another and what one store calls wide leg, another would call relaxed.
Exactly, Jill. It's hard to go by the description of the jean because it means different things to different manufacturers. You just have to try them on to find what you like. I usually set aside an entire day and just go try on jeans. It's very time consuming.

I did manage to find a pair that I LOVE last year at a thrift store!! I had never been a thrift store shopper, but a friend recommended it, and since I was losing weight and going through sizes quickly, I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a pair of jeans. They were perfect. Lucky Brand for $25 and looked brand new.

So, you might want to try that, too, D.
You can get custom jeans here. They're like 130 bucks, but that's the going rate for many jeans nowadays. Just thought I'd share.

I love the Gap however I found old navy surprisingly affordable. Their flirt jeans is flattering on almost everyone I know!!!

Banana Republic makes awesome jeans but expensive too.
