Long time reader first time poster.

Greetings All~
This is such a pleasant board to read, except when visiting rescue and sheepies in need tears abound quite often when viewing those topics.
I am in Florida have had two rescued senior old english sheepdogs, my last one (Wilby)just passed away two months ago was rough though I only had him a year and a half it was a blessing to have had him, and to have gotten to know his previous mommy who loved him dearly too. Prior to that my first dog love (Leo) passed away a year and a half ago due to old age he lived to be 14 he I had for seven years! Now it is just myself and my springer (oh least I forget two cats as well) waiting for a senior old english sheepdog who will fit in with us. I am very much in contact with an Old English Sheepdog Rescue help out when I can have had a few visit for overniters while in transport to south florida but they were young ones, I do love my senior dogs. Relaxed, trained, and wise. I will work on getting pics up of my boys as soon as I can.
Looking forward to interacting with other Sheepie Lovers.

Please forgive my grammar and spelling.

Welcome to the forum :D :D
Bless you for helping the older OES that might not find a home. You have to be a very special person to do this knowing you might not have them long. I bet they all loved you so much for giving them a home to live out their yrs.'
I have done rescue too. but had mine a few yrs younger. We lost 2 this summer but they had a great home. We now have a rescue that we got last yr, she was about 4 months, maybe 5 months but she is so much fun.
We also adopted 2 Beagles this yr. They are brother and sister and have never been apart. They are 3 yrs old and very loveable.
Hope to see your posts and pics even if they are not OES.
Reguards, Deana
Welcome!
I know exactly what you mean about visiting rescue and sheepies in need and as for the rainbow bridge I just stay away because I get way too upset.

You are indeed a special person. I dont know if I could go there knowing I would only have them long enough to fall in love with them. The sheepies you adopt are VERY lucky!!!!
Welcome tou you, From NY!
Welcome from Texas. Thanks for loving those senior sheepies 8)
Nice to see you here! Welcome!
Welcome from the Southern California Desert! :D
WELCOME from northeastern PA. :D Bless you for taking care of the seniors :hearts:
Thank you for taking the seniors! Imagine the fear in their hearts, knowing a home for so long and then..........nothing. It takes a special person to knowingly take a dog for just a short time, but the joy you bring to each other is immeasureable. Welcome aboard.

welcome to the forum and thanks for doing what you do. I saw a brother and sister @ a rescue this weekend, NEOESR I think. They were 9 years old, hint hint! If interested!

Welcome to the forum and THANK YOU for caring for the seniors. :clappurple: That is so wonderful!!

I just placed my senior foster boy this morning with his new family. They are a great match for him and he seemed genuinely happy to be going home with them. I miss him already, but I'm pleased that he's getting such a good, loving home to retire.
Welcome from PA! Thank you so much for rescuing the seniors. They all deserve the best life for their whole life but sadly this isn't always the case. You're an angel!
