Sheepies and Luggage?

Do any of your sheepies have an extra sensory perception kind thing when it comes to knowing someone in the house is taking a big trip away from home? It seems like my parent's OES can just sense it a couple of days before (and without much packing happening or seeing luggage) the person leaves that someone in the house is leaving on a big trip. He gets all mopy and extra velcro to people. Do any of your sheepies do this kind of thing?

Sydney is so bad with this - my Mom thinks she has ESP. I take Sydney to my sister's house alot - especially on weekends in the summer and every Friday when I come home from work - she is waiting by the door and follows me around barking at me. If she thinks I'm planning on walking out the door - she plants herself in front of it so I won't be able to miss her when I'm leaving. She "knows" what day it is and can "sense" when I'm going somewhere (and she fully expects to come with me!).

She doesn't need to see the luggage - but once she does - there's no stopping her! It is not pleasant when I have to go away without her.

They certainly have a 6th sense (well, in Sydney's case a 5th sense - since she's missing her "hearing" sense). Maybe she stood in line at the 6th sense too long and missed her turn in the hearing line! LOL

This is too funny! Drezzie has this same ESP sense, too! She's fine week-day mornings when she sees Mommy leave for work (Daddy has a home office) because she knows the routine. But come Friday night when Mommy gets home, if I don't sit down immediately, she senses we're "going bye-bye" (we usually go out to eat on Friday night), gets that combination look of sad-and-deer-in-the-headlights look on her face, 8O and runs for the back door! Same thing, she blocks the door so that you would literally have to push her away to get out. :? Same with the week-ends. She knows it's not the same routine as week-days and that sometime during both Sat and Sun either Mommy or Daddy will be going out, and she has to go with us! What a clown! :P

Is this a smart breed, or what??

Chris
Our cat gets in to our luggage as if to say "Don't forget to bring me!" She has done this everytime we've moved.

Pooh is oblivious to it so far!

I have a great picture of my OES, Oliver, in my suitcase as I was trying to pack! He was a MOMMA's boy big time! Thanks for that memory Josh!

They know. It's just that simple, they just know.
