Agilty Harry is Famous

Well, it turns out that the judge at the trial Judi ran at last weekend (where Harry got his first agility Q !!! 8) ) is the instructor of Sybil's cousin, Mojo, up in Minnesota.

She is still talking about the amazing OES who could jump sidewise in between the bars on the double!!!!  8) You've raised the bar very high for other OES, Harry. Literally   Gale's just hoping she won't be expecting Mo to do that

Atta boy!!! :D :) 8)

My boys are still laughing about that run. It was the MOST embarrassing thing - I even think Harry felt a little ashamed of himself afterwards. There were SO many things wrong in it we couldn't have made bigger fools of ourselves if we tried.

Val, she does not mean "famous" in a good way.
Judi.......Harry is making a name for himself....I can see it now..people coming from all over to see the FAMOUS.....

...................SIDE JUMPING HARRY!!!!!!

I am going to come to the next agility trial and I will get a picture!!!!!

I think you're right. Honestly, Val - without a sense of humor you will not survive running these guys.

There was the judge in Minnesota, who, when Belle had offered every position known to man EXCEPT a sit (which unfortunately it was - tsk, tsk) laughingly told me, in reference to my two topknot preference, that "well, you DID give her horns" That was a couple of years after one of her first novice jumpers runs when she didn't think we were done after we crossed the finish line, so she proceeded to try to jump the tape that marked the ring. Only it was way higher than what she usually jumped, so she got her hind legs caught in it and came down rather quicker than anticipated. She landed on her feet and turned to give me The Look: "What the *&&^ just happened here?  :P "

Then there was the time Mad got into the crispy cremes as I was unloading the car and shortly thereafter, on a sugar high, she took the first tunnel on a NADAC course consisting entirely of contacts and tunnels, blasted past me as if I was standing still and carved out her own course of about nine trips through tunnels. I never got 20 feet past the startline and she did this all in about 20 seconds while the judge was doubled-up clutching her stomach begging for mercy.

She doesn't know it yet but no matter how many legs, Qs, ribbons or titles he gets, this is going to be the story she tells about him ten years from now. And she's going to smile and remember the dog who would basically stand on his head to do what she asked and wish she had just one more run like that.

The perfect ones are unremarkable and no judges remember them. The dramatic ones stick in their minds, too, for just about forever. And, no, that's not a bad thing    8)

Harry the Legend. Wait and see.

Sybil has been completely boring and unremarkable in her screw-ups to date (OK, at least on the agility course  ). I'm still waiting for the big one that will make a judge recognize us on the start line five years from now and grin just thinking about it. And I intend to treasure every embarrassing minute of it 8)

Those are great stories Kristine..especially the Krispy Kreme one!!! I could imagine, a sugar high on an agility course!!! And no one was videotaping it for you???? I would have love to see that!!!!
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D
I personally witnessed Harry's run that day. It was pretty crazy that he jumped sideways through that jump, but he also did a really cool jump off the dog walk. He went up when he was not supposed to and instead of walking back down he jumped off and just kept going to the next thing. I should say in Harry's defense that he did have some very controlled and composed moments that day as well, including successfully waiting at the beginning of each of his runs!
