Love ya--- Bye

No- I am not leaving the forum :)

I wanted to share a funny and embarrasing story. When I talk to any of my family on the phone, the conversation ends with "Love you- Bye" Who ever says goodbye first says it. So, it is pretty common to say this phrase several times a day, depending on who I've talked to on the phone. I think it has become habit, more than sentiment now, because, I told one of my co-workers that yesterday.

I had a call with one of the sales managers, to catch up. I have been back to work for a few weeks now, following my stroke, and have been playing catch up with everyone. This particular manager is professional all the way. No idle chit chat, so it wasn't like I was feeling a connection with him during our talk. We spoke for about 20 minutes, and I ended the call with "Love you, Bye". He said "Ok" and hung up.

I sent an email of "explanation" to him, and he hasn't responded yet.

Oh, that's just TOO funny!  Particularly because I could see myself doing the same thing since that's how I always end my conversations with my kids. Will be interested to hear how he responds.
Ha ha ha! That's so funny. It reminds me of when I was a kid and called my teacher 'mom' and was SO embarrassed.
Oh - thats so funny but I bet you are so embarassed!!!!!
hahahahahaaha.....im laughing because ive done the same thing....lisa and i use the exact same expression every time we talk...and we talk 4-5xs a day.....

i did it to a cabinet rep......i think he is still secretly in love with me.....
Hahahaha!! I think we've all been there at some point in time. Hope your manager "gets it" and responds kindly.

Hahahahahah. Oooops.

I'm sure all will be fine. If not, blame the stroke.

Who isn't???
Ron, you never cease to make my day :D
very funny!
Darcy,

Bet you have no trouble with orders on his stuff
Me too. I seem to talk to my husband on the phone much more than I ever see him, so sometimes it's just an automatic thing when it's time to hang up the phone, lol.

Haha, like the Simpsons episode where Ralph says "Mommy will you open my milk?" to the teacher!
Sheesh you scared me when I saw your post!!! Glad you're not leaving and I had a chuckle at your story.

Luv Yah and bye!

I got a reply. He was very polite and professional all through the email, and then at the end, threw me a zinger when he said "I'll keep this between us because my wife is the jealous type" 8O

I am conducting a training workshop for his team next week. I can't wait to see if there are comments. :D
Lori: I was laughing so hard reading your story. Something along that line happened to my hubby...and that is all I'm going to say at this point. lol
Thank you for the great laugh this morning.
