Harry got his first Q in Agility
Our run was a mess but we gutted our way through it to get enough points in the allotted time. I always knew that we would get our first Q in FAST because you can make all kinds of mistakes as long as you get enough points and successfully complete the send area (two obstacles). It was nice to get a Q (even though I was not happy with the run) because we needed the morale boost in our training. Our Jumpers With Weaves class had a problem in the middle but otherwise was very promising. The Standard class was an embarrassing nightmare. But the thing I am most excited about ..... Harry WAITED at the start line in all three classes!  
This has been one of our last issues. We are still not great with our contacts, table or weaves under the stress of the trial but he never had a wait at the start line. He just started one month ago thanks to my wonderful trainer teaching us to use the release word in addition to the commands. But to actually have it him do it at a trial? That was the highlight of my day. |
