My good boy Guinness

I am so proud of my big boy. We did a special program at Port Discovery with children with disabilities. He stood so quietly as blind children ran their fingers through his hair. He tolerated 6 developmentally disabled children hugging him. He approached multiple handicapped children very gently. He was not at all bothered by their jerky movements and hi pitched squeals. He gave gentle kisses to autistic children. (I know therapy dogs are not to lick people) He just did a wonderful job and I was so proud of him. Everyone commented on how gentle he was. There were teachers and parents there. I only had one teacher say very abruptly "I have a child that is terrified of dogs please take your dog somewhere else" The rest of the kids in her group did not get to enjoy Guinness. There were children that were afraid of dogs but as the afternoon wore on they were approaching their big furry friend. He had lots of pictures taken with his new buddies. It was such a success we are invited back in May to do it again.

Guinness is indeed a hero but he's doing these things because of your compassion and giving nature.

You two are a fabulous team! :aww: :hearts:
