St. Paul Dog Park for Friday

We would like to take Maggie to a dog park in St. Paul (or somewhere in the area) and are not sure where one is. It will be her first "dog park" experience (at least with us). Does anyone know where we might go?

We were thinking about going on Friday during the day if anyone would like to join us for a "play date."

Let me check - maybe Chewie and I as well as LeAnne with Martha and Clay can join you!
I have been to one off Maryland and 35E. LeAnne goes to one up by her - in the Coon Rapids area.

Any particular time of day that you are looking at?
And if you guys go on a weekend some time, remember to ask Gale if she and Bebe and Mojo can make it. You can have your own little OES party!

Would you let me know where you are planning to meet? We don't have anything scheduled on Friday and I think meeting up for a play date would be fun.

I was sending her an email as you wrote this :D Just proves great minds think alike, right??
I wanted to pick her brain for good dogs parks too.

Stephanie - that would be great if you guys came down too! :D
We were thinking about early to mid afternoon (after all, it is a non-work Friday for us and sleeping in and lounging around for a bit sounds good).

If the one off of 35E and Maryland works, lets go there. I have no idea where any are....so if someone could set the time (maybe like 2) and the place....we are there!

We haven't met any other sheepies yet!!!
I will see what replies I get back. Gale has 2 OES - Bebe (Chewie's aunt) and Mojo- Bebe's puppy, and she lives in St Paul.

I also have lots of basset rescue friends in the cities and they can suggest places too. I have emails sent out, so I will let you all know what they recommend.

I am excited!
While waiting for replies, this is the one I have been to. It is pretty easy to find, so that is a plus!

Here is a complete list.

Not all are fenced completely. The ones in Mpls have user fees - usually for all year.

I think the Arkright one (off 35E and Maryland) may be the easist for all to get to, plus it is all fenced. I saw another nice one, but it has a pond - and I know Chewie would want to jump in, so I would prefer to go elsewhere!
If anyone wants to come, we are having a PUPPY PARTY!!!!! Ok, I just saw the commercial for that toy house that you can move her eyes....

We are going to meet at or after 1 PM this Friday at the Arlington-Arkwright Dog Park. Links for directions and info listed below.

Let anyone else that might want to come the details.

We have yet to meet another OES since we got Maggie, so we are REALLY EXCITED!!

Thanks for getting all the info together got sheep ;)
Sounds good!

I will be there with Chewie.
LeAnne (daughter) will be there with Clay (Martha had the extreme poor timing to come into heat this week, so she can't attend. :( )
Maybe Gale with Bebe and Mojo - depending on when Gale's new couch gets delivered. really!

Anyone else?? Stephanie, Karen?
I know there are more MN people out there!!!
Baloo would come but the drive is a bit long...

Have Fun!!!
I think we are going to have to pass on the park today - Winston hurt his front paw yesterday and was limping. He seems fine this morning, but I think it would be better for him to rest another day.

If you do this again, please let me know. I would love to be there. Have fun and give all of the sheepies a butt rub for me!
Boy, I would love to come with Bert.
If things go smoothly at work I will be there.

Sounds fun. :clappurple:
Have fun and we do expect pictures!
I have some pictures - I will download them later today. :D
The dogs and humans had a good time - the weather was perfect - I think it 42 or something like that! great for MN in almost December.

There were 7 OES (counting poor martha who had to stay in the car) and Simon. People at the park were impressed - never seen that many sheepies in one place!

Chewie and Bert chased and herded every fetching dog - they ran non-stop the whole time as there were lots of them!
