Hudson scratched to go out! He scratched to go out!

Okay, I totally realize that this is a small thing for most, but, since housebreaking has been a major issue for Hudson, I'm shouting from the rooftops.

Last week he fussed during obedience, and since there were only five minutes left we risked it and didn't rush him out and HE HELD IT UNTIL WE GOT HIM OUTSIDE. He RAN to the nearest snowbank and it happened instantly, but he didn't have an accident.

Today he went to our back door (something he's been doing for quite a while) but instead of waiting silently for us to notice and then peeing all over the floor after seven seconds if we didn't psychically know he was there, he SAT DOWN and he SCRATCHED at the door. I heard it, came running, and he quietly got up, ran outside, and peed.

I am speechless. Way to go Hudson. There's hope! Our boy is growing up.

Way to go Hudson

I hope to report the same for Bert. He has been great at home but was the first puppy to have an accident in puppy class last week.
Yippee!

Can he come show Maggie that it is OK to make a little noise at the door??

oh thats nothing. Tonks and Luna, as a team, had the class accident EVERY week at Puppy training. Seriously, it got to be a joke with everyone just when Tonks or Luna would go.

Congrats with Hudson; I know what a big deal that can be! Here's hoping to continued success.
That's the best feeling in the world. Anyone who's had a pee dog will agree. Thank goodness Owen wasn't another Clyde in that way. I couldn't take two like that!
GOOD BOY Hudson

have a nice biscuit!
That's GREAT news!!! Hooray for victories!
 :yay: :excited: Good job Hudson!! :excited: :yay:
Good boy Hudson! That is indeed a big step in becoming an adult.
WOOHOO, it seems as though the light just seems to come on with these guys:idea:
At least it did with Chauncey, potty training wasn't horrible, but following commands was a challenge.....then one day, poof the light comes on and the change was drastic. I really thing a big part of it with Chaunce was maturation............Kathy
Oh BTW, you might want to temporarily put up some type of protection for your door.
Well done Hudson very good. If you are in the other room Summer comes and stares in your face and then looks relieved when the message gets through.

My 18 month old grandson keeps saying "wee" removing his nappy and sitting on the potty, after a second he gets up says "no" and toddles off! He actually says "wee" when he has wet his nappy so he wont be long!
Congratulations Hudson :D .
exellent, patience pays off

ralphie and family
Congrats!! :D
