Why do we like little things?

Our maintenance man had some keys made for me at work today. My keys were taken in the robbery.

He brought them back in a little, tiny brown bag. It was so adorable!

Then I thought about how much we (women) like little things...little bows, little bags, you know, little miniture things!

Why do you think this is?

Because they're adorable. I think Tiffany jewelry is okay but I LOVE the tiny bags and boxes it comes in. I also love the tiny replica versions of, like, tents and sleeping bags that they have in sporting good stores as the model for big ones. Those are cutest!

I love those too! I always wanted to get one for my cat Khobi!!! And I love when I see little miniture books...Borders has those.
I LOVE the little tents! We always call them cat tents and I've had to refrain from stealing them many times.
I love small stuff too....like mini furniture for dolls. The detail in it is so cool.

I was at Costco this weekend and they had this miniature desk set module set up. It was SO cute. I wanted to get it for Taylor so she could play CEO...
Oh, and when I was a kid (mostly meaning teenage years, lol) I had to eat my ice cream with these cute miniature spoons my mom has...
OH!!! And what about the adorable little tiny pink spoons at Baskins and Robbins!

And little Coca Cola bottles!
my son has a minature coke cola glass just like his daddys big one it is soooooooooo cute
I love table confetti, and glittery stickers, actually anything shiny!
I'm a HUGE glitter/sparkle freak! I will not give a greeting card unless it has glitter on it. My daughter once gave me a card that said I was human sparkler!!!
lol...im just the opposite. i hate anything small...dust collectors, all of them
The only time I hate small stuff like those noodle filler things or confetti is Christmas day. What a dang pain in the rear to clean up when you've got kids who get lots of things!!

Otherwise, I'm a sucker for packaging!!
I'm always amazed at the little condiments that come in MREs. I still have a tiny tabasco sauce in my cabinet!
Not only have I seen the little Tabasco bottles, I have PURCHASED the little Tabasco bottles, simply for their preciousness!
And little liquor bottles, too!
World Market has a whole SECTION of little bottles...little mustard and ketchup, little hot sauces, little jars of jelly, little bottles of champagne!

Oh, and count me in on loving all things shiny 8)

I am the same - I am a minimalist and do not like any knick knacks or little things that need dusting. BUT, i do agree some miniture things are cute but only to look at and not to own EXCEPT miniture candy bars.
Over here they call miniature candy bars "Fun size" WHERE IS THE FUN IN THAT? I want the full size

I love small things too but won't have them in the house either, too much of a pain to dust.
I've always loved glitter too!

But my real big thing is stationary... I LOVE stationary. I have a cupboard which is set out like an office, you open the door and it's like being in a stationary shop. I have everything. I can walk into Rymans now and I've pretty much got everything from there so I'm running out of things to look at while I'm out. My friends go looking at clothes and I'm in the stationary store drooling over coloured paper, pens, paperclips, hole punches, notelets, files and highlighters
how is it that we all love these "little things" but had to have some of the biggest dogs out there??? Its not like we are Chihuahua people.

Edit: Tilly is quite obviously a large dog trapped in a little dog body. I think Summer will back me up on that.

That is a question I ask myself all the time! I love tiny things, but have 3 big dogs! I find no appeal in tiny dogs.

Brain Fart?

:excited: :go:

I think there so cute, use them as a part of a stocking filler for adults for chrissy. A wee wee Dram anyone ?  Or a Slurp of Bundi :lmt:
I used to collect miniature items of all kinds (UNO cards, liquor bottles, dice, etch-a-sketch, chairs, a tent, etc, etc, etc). The collection has been rationed out to different people over the years so I cannot remember everything I had, but I loved it all!
oh! I love that baby etch-a-sketch!
Maybe its because...size doesnt matter!LOL.
All my OES have thought they were small tiny lapdogs, just couldnt fathom where the rest of my lap was!I am sure you can all relate.
