Atlanta Grooming Show

Did anyone get a post card for the 2009 Atlanta Groomers Expo in March? Seems early to have gotten it, but I wanted to see if anyone else had gotten word, and was planning on going.

must have gotten lost in the mail.
If it was right now I'd be tempted. It is snow/ice storming here now.
My TCOESC (Twin Cities Old English Sheepdog Club) meeting scheduled for tonight got cancelled....

It is a 1.5 hr drive each way, and I was happy because I had tomorrow off too - I could go to the meeting, drive home, and still sleep in tomorrow. Figures it didn't work out! :(

No card here...
Where is it held?
You went last year Allison ... right?

I wish I could recall who it was that told me about it last year. It was someone that was a few hours drive south of Atlanta, if I recall correctly, and at the last minute had to cancel coming up.

I've got my card in hand. It says nothing about location. But the website is www.atlantapetfair.com . I think I saw on the website that its the same place as last year; a hotel (Hilton maybe) by the airport. Its industry only, but Sunday is open to the public.
I didn't get a card, but it sounds interesting. :?

it was smallish; but I liked it. I had just gotten the girls a few months earlier, so I was able to buy several of the brands I had been reading about here. Shampoo lines I would have had to otherwise mail order. I got some Bio Groom, some Mr. Groom, and some Chris Christiansen (who was actually there).

There were people selling all sorts of things; I actually got to try this amazing high end clipper. They had some poor little dog just standing on a grooming table, and everyone was taking swipes at him. I didn't want to add to the horror, but the sales man insisted, and I'm glad he did. He showed me the right way to hold them, and how to do it; made me much more confident for when I got my own pair. They also had a fun grooming contest involving over the top, sculptural Poodles! It was a riot!

This year I think I will be looking for a good slicker brush, and if our house hunting works out right, a bathing station and grooming table. And I'll stock up on my Chris Christiansen shampoos, so I don't have to mail order!
What's the date? I'd drive down if I can put in on my calendar in advance and plan for it. I'd really like to stock up on Christensen products, too. I love the pin brushes and shampoos/conditioners/detanglers.
its March 5 -8, and I'm assuming the 8th is the "open to the public" day.
