 We have been hunting the majors for over 9 months now! AKC upped our counts on males in May by 1 so that made it even harder to find majors. The shows either were not drawing enough of an entry for majors, the majors broke or quite often when the entry count came up it was at what we would have needed last year but 1 short for this year! It seemed the only places there were majors was at the specialty shows which are very few & spread out across the country & then José & I are up against all the "big guns". So I was very happy Saturday. Now if we can just find that last major & win to finish!
On another note, Jill (from the forum ) came to the show so I got to visit a bit with her & I got to see Owen whom I haven't seen since I think last August. Jill's lucky I didn't take him home with me.  He is SO cute! And I got to visti with Holly (from the forum) too  . So my long drive there & back was worth it in several ways!
Now .......back to work this morning! |

| Thanks for the congrats everyone. Pretty soon Owen is going to be out there knocking their socks off! Jill is very handy to have around at a dog show! How she ever managed to hold both Owen & Olivia on leads & keep Olivia's 4 feet on the ground while I was in the ring with José is beyond me. Must have some kind of magic touch that Olivia took to!
And it was nice to have Holly there rooting for her boy too but yet so gracious in congratulating both José & me. Holly, maybe we'll each get an early Christmas present of that last major! Jill, to get the "accent" mark over the "e" you hold down the ALT key while typing 0233! |
