Back to the Gym...back to square one!

I'm working out with my trainer today. It will be the first time since my accident in August. I've finally gotten medical clearance.

I'm pretty nervous, because for all practical purposes, I'm totally starting over! I was in great shape before the accident, and now, I can look forward to be sore all over again.

My trainer, has a plan for me. We will start with my upper body, since it was my pelvic bone and lower back that was damaged.

I have missed working out, but feel very cautious now. Wish me luck!

Oh man, Darcy!!! I HAVE BEEN THERE! When you have pry yourself off the pot, by pushing down on the sink!! OOOOOOUUUUCCCHHHH!!!!!

Gee...and yet something else to look forward to

Now all I'll have to worry about is being able to lift the hairdryer to style my hair!!!!
Thats funny
,LOL I have a hard time everyday to get off the pot, and couch and chair.
At least you can, My hip and knee kills me. But thats OK I still can walk and hold a smile. :D
Good luck Deb!

You know, the good thing about 'starting over' is that even the 'easier' exercises are harder and you will get more out of them than if you had been doing them this whole time.

Maybe you should get a hat in case you can't use the hairdryer for a while!
 GREAT IDEA!
Good Luck :D
I'm weird...I envy you. I love to work out but can't afford a personal trainer and I can't seem to make myself do it on a regular basis.

Good luck and have fun.
Good luck! I went to a gym twice, I call them torture chambers
Good luck and keep it going! I hope your body is ready and cooperates! :) Remember, the first 3 trips are the hardest... then it's all about routine.
How'd it go, Deb? Are you as sore as you expected to be? I remember when I started too, I was so sore I could hardly walk.
you'll probably be more sore tonight....tonight will be the toidy test
I did great. I swear, I have the best trainer ever! We worked all the large muscle groups. During the working out, my right hip started "aching" not hurting. (That is the side I knocked out of whack.) Today, it is just fine.

I can feel my muscle are starting to get a bit sore, which is fine...its as it should be. Tomorrow I will be sore. But my hip and pelvic area is JUST PERFECT!!!

I felt so good when I finished. All sweating and stinky. Jenny, my trainer, told me, I've retain a lot of flexiblity and balance, which was something I was worried about, since I worked so hard to achieve that.

As my doctor told me after the accident, it was a blessing I was in such good shape before...its easier to get back!!!!

Thanks for all the good wishes!
