Anyone use calm caps with their sheepie?

I know we have discussed rescue remedy and I have learned it is better for the handler than the dog usually (thanks Kristine for the tip).

Has anyone used calm caps from Nature's Farmacy? I ordered some and they came last night. I thought of using them before I take one of our dogs with clinical anxiety places that upset them. we use anti-anxiety meds and they help under day to day circumstances, but a little extra now and then might not hurt. I just am afraid to use them unless I have heard someone else has used them with no adverse effects - silly I know....

What is it's ingredient?
I have tried ProQuiet, and it is L-tryptophan. I didn't really notice much when I have tried it. But mostly I have used it w/ foster rescues, so it may have been helping more than I knew!

Also, one that several of my friends in rescue recommend are human herbals - St John's Wort and Valerian. I have them both and have used them. I liked the SJW, didn't notice much w/ the valerian.

I haven't tried the SJW yet, what is the typical dosage for 65lb dog???

Devyn has been on EVeRYTHING and nothing has really seemed
to help her anxiety!
We got a calming cap for Bella for rides in the car. She gets so excited on a drive that she just is shaking and barks right in your ear. We tried putting her in the back behind a gate with no improvement at all. I got a calming cap about s week a go and tried it twice. with mixed results. It seems to help but with only three rides so far that's a small sample. We really hope that it works because we love to take Bella with us to the mountainsand she loves it up there but the trip is awfull and we don't like drugs. I will let you know how well it works as time goes on.

Mine is the human pills and the dose I have is 1 cap = 300mg. The human dose is 2 caps up to 3x's/day. (Up to 6 daily)
I used one or two daily for a 50 pound dog.
