That is just foul. |
| When I used to have a large pantry (when I was married), I kept a running list of what I had and what I needed. That way I didn't buy doubles. Now I have a smaller pantry since I am single and stopped inventory. I find a lot of duplicates and outdated food. You're right--it is a waste. |
| Oh I also cleaned out closets. Got rid of half of my clothes. Things I have not worn in years too. 3 coats, boots. Got them ready to go to recycle so someone will be warm and dressed this winter. |

I am planning to start with that - and move on to the pantry. |
| I did the cleaning of the pantry thing at my SO's house a few months ago. His ex had stocked up things during the Y2K non-sense and his cabinets and pantry were still packed full of that crap. |
| I thought I did a great job of cleaning out cupboards, closets, pantry, drawers and whatever else held junk while packing and now that I'm unpacking I find that I still have more junk One gathers a lot after 46 years in the same house |
| I cleaned out my "sock" drawer yesterday. Four grocery store sacks just with socks! Can't wait until I tackle other drawers...... |
| I am finding this "clean out" fun. I feel more in controll of my home. After I finish the main floor. ( we have a ranch). I hit the basement. |
