People with no food and I am throwing some out.

People with no food and I am cleaning out cupboards with MANY bags of food to toss. Most have been out dated for years. Some not ever opened. I feel so bad.  I stock up to much. What a waste.

Next I will get to the bottom of my big freezer. Who knows whats at the bottom :o :o :o :o

At least all drawers and pantry are cleaned out, even the refrig. I have also doing Richards office. He is a pack rat. Our files were a mess. I have got most of that done too. Tons of old papers are in a pile to be shreded.

Got 2003-2007 in boxes MARKED and put away. Now working on 2008!

That is just foul. While at my MIL's house, I cleaned out their fridge and I wanted to vomit as I found stuff that had expired 2 yrs ago!!!!!!!!!! I'll give them some slack and assume it's because they live in another house 6 months out of the year, but I'm not sure how people don't notice ...and no one is guilty of overstocking than ME! :P
When I used to have a large pantry (when I was married), I kept a running list of what I had and what I needed. That way I didn't buy doubles. Now I have a smaller pantry since I am single and stopped inventory. I find a lot of duplicates and outdated food. You're right--it is a waste.
Oh I also cleaned out closets. Got rid of half of my clothes. Things I have not worn in years too. 3 coats, boots. Got them ready to go to recycle so someone will be warm and dressed this winter.

I am planning to start with that - and move on to the pantry.
I did the cleaning of the pantry thing at my SO's house a few months ago. His ex had stocked up things during the Y2K non-sense and his cabinets and pantry were still packed full of that crap.
I thought I did a great job of cleaning out cupboards, closets, pantry, drawers and whatever else held junk while packing and now that I'm unpacking I find that I still have more junk One gathers a lot after 46 years in the same house :D
I cleaned out my "sock" drawer yesterday. Four grocery store sacks just with socks! 8O With my bad ankle always swelling I can no longer wear normal socks so why am I hanging on to them? Memories??

Can't wait until I tackle other drawers......
I am finding this "clean out" fun. I feel more in controll of my home. After I finish the main floor. ( we have a ranch). I hit the basement.   There is sooooo much "stiff) down there I am going to have a big garage sale! I still have up-packed boxes of books that have not needed for 5 years. Lots of deorations for things that I do not use anymore. Last garage sale I had 7 years ago I took in over $3000.00 , no kidding. Wish me luck! :D :D :D
