Prescription meds via the internet

I've long been critical of internet Pet Meds, much information indicates that there is a great risk of obtaining inferior products and I have always supported my Vet through purchasing drugs from him.

HOWEVER, as Tasker ages and his list of medications gets longer and longer I have had to start price shopping. Imagine my amazement to discover that I can save $168.00 A MONTH by purchasing medications on line.

I spoke to the Vet office this morning and they were understanding and gave me helpful hints for making sure I get "good" medications. I will still purchase anything I can from them, including flea products and heartworm medication but for Taskers arthritis meds I really need to save some money.

My question is does anyone have an internet pet med company they are comfortable with? Does anyone use: entirelypets.com ???? Any feedback would be appreciated.

I don't have a suggestion except to ask your vet if any of the meds can actually be purchased from a pharmacy. what is he taking that is so expensive?
I'm getting meds from Drs Foster & Smith. Price is about 1/3 of what the vet charges. By the way.....our vet gave us two recommendations: Drs Foster & Smith or 1-800 Pet Meds.

Good Luck
Jennifer, Baxter, Cassiopia and Abby
He is on Derm Caps, Cosequin DS, Prevacox, Glucosamine , a multi vit (can't remember the name), and an arthritis supplement from "Dancing Paws". We also added a "stomach pill" because he is prone to GI bleeds and with so many pills the Vet was afraid of a bleed.
you could look at a different combo of the glucosomine that includes some of the otehrs - my bet is the stomache pill has a human generic - Walmart is great for these.

what does your arthritis suppplement have different than the others.

Someone here recommended it, we have had GREAT results.

looks good but it also seems to be duplicative - have your tried dropping the other glucosomine

Amazon.com has the derm caps at 500 for $68.50 and 24hour pet has them a little cheaper. not sure what you are paying.
Well, actually the Vet added it, we've used the joint recovery for a couple years and he just added more glucosamine. I took the bottle in at our last visit and he thought he would benefit from more. I can give glucosamine from the drug store however.
my vet thinks entirelypets is good. will not support petmeds to save his life.
Thanks Mrs. Joah. I have heard some bad things about petmeds.com, which is why I went to entirelypets.
I have used www.kvvet.com for over 20 years. Obviously I buy equine supplies, but they have a full range of companion animal products also. Shipping is speedy, customer service is A+ and I would never question the quality of any product they carry.
I've purchased from KV Vet Supply - http://www.kvvet.com/

actually we used to use them too - I had forgotten about them.
I use entirely pets and petmedsrx....
I have had great experiences with
both companies....
THANKS!

I am going to give entirelypets a try!
For stomach pills, Jake used to be on Tagamet, right over the counter. The prescription stuff was VERY expensive.
I buy from entirelypets.com also.

Ditto. Our vet suggested it as he is always looking to give us a break since we have so many rescues.

We have a substantial stock of Tagament, Benadryl and Dramamine in our dog bag.
I used entirelypets.com and have been very happy. When my old Max was on Rimadyl it saved me lots. I get Heartguard and K9 Advantix from them and have never been unsatisfies.
I received my order from entirelypet.com within 2 days of ordering. Everything looks good and so far I am quite happy with them.
