Countdown until I get my bundle of chaos!

6 or 7 more days. That feels like an eternity from now. I even tried to find a flight for $200 to pick her up myself. However, they were all too expensive. I don't know yet if Oak Ridge Acres is driving down Friday or Sat. to graciously give her to me. :)

I am so stoked. I had to make one more post since my parents are at work, and I can't bug them. :D

Here's who I'm shootin' for:

I'm online now trying to buy a digital camera!!!! I am so broke. lol

hehehehhe

i think i know what you mean. it's been ...what 24 hrs since we decided to choose her, and I've printed her pic out for all my mom's coworkers and my neighbors. i even ran out to mailbox when a neighbor (friend) came out just to SCREAM "I'm GETTING A NEW DOG!!!"

I won't tell you how many times I've emailed Oak Ridge. I'm embarrassed to say.
I just bought a Canon Powershot A85 Digital Camera. I hope it's easy to use. I was jealous when Stormi talked about her camera, so had to buy one for myself (one I could afford!).

Oak Ridge called and said the puppies were running around in a diaper right now "just in case" of an accident since it was way too cold to be outside. I can't imagine living up north in WI or even where Willowsprite lives. I'm a Texan afterall. ;)
Joahaeyo! Hey, are you getting a PUPPY?? Seems to me I saw that somewhere...LOL!! A teensy bit excited??! So, c'mon...give details!! How much does weigh, how old is she?? What's her name??? Practice with that camera so you can get the baby album started!
I'm happy for you. She looks very pretty in the picture!
Cathy
Thank you so much Cathy!!! But nothing can compare to your dogs. I went to your page and couldn't believe how big they were. :D

Oakridge knew I was dying here, so sent me more pics this morning. She will be 9 wks old on Tuesday. I cannot believe how much she has grown in a week. SHOCKED!

AWWWWWW PUPPY!!!!
She is so cute!!! I love the patch around the eye.
Elissa :D
Oh My God....How adorable :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I'm so excited for you, I just love that little patch over her eye. Have you picked any names.

I to prefer human names, and simple names so if they are outside and you live in a neighbourhood calling the dog in won't be weird. I always practice saying names out loud before I settle down on one. Before we named Remy ...Remy...I had to decide between Ella, her old name McKenzie, Scout, and Taya.

I like to check out baby name sites, and go from there. There is also a ton of dog name sites too. I also like the name, Chaos for a non human name.
Daisie,
I couldn't help but laugh. When naming my dogs I practiced calling them to see how it would sound calling them if they got out in the neighborhood.
I wanted to name my Toy Poodle Fritz, but that sounded weird, so he became Peanut. Our Shepherd was originally named Apollo when we rescued him which sounded extremely stupid when yelled. So he became Harley.
My OES that I grew up with was named Daisy. I really like that name for an OES. I hope you don't take offense to it.
Elissa
I just want to scoop her up and breathe in that puppy smell!

Congrats! I must say I'm a bit jealous  , but I shall live vicariously through you & the forum.

The week WILL go fast . . . .

Jil
hehehhehe, I TOTALLY say the name and pretend I'm YELLING at it (we all know it happens when they're a puppy. ;) ) to see how it sounds. I'm thinking we're going to go with Yuki. I don't know. My fiance didn't really answer me OR object.

Here is what my fiance just wrote me:

NOOOOOOOOooooo!!! How come she got so big so fast? Don't feed her until i get home, so i can see her while she's still small. How old will she be when I get there?

he's so cute.
what an adorable girl!!!I love her nose :D ......it seems so long ago that Mickey was that little and he is only 8months old!!LOL!!Your going to have tons of fun w/ her I cant wait to hear stories about her silly ways.

Where abouts in Wi is she coming from?Just curious since I just moved to the state.

Congrads to and your family Jo!!!
thank you. I love how she is growing. I just wish she'd stay little ...at least for a little while. lol ;)

Tanya, I was going to mention it the other day for the same reason. She's in Grantsburg, Wisconsin
When we went to pick up Louie and i saw him in person for the first time he was HUGE!! I mean i knew sheepies were big dogs and so i expected him to be big but...Well up to that point my only experience with puppies was my mom's shih tzu. (We've had other dogs but all were rescued at older ages) Louie was bigger than Mick(the shih tzu-now 16) Now i expected this but to see it in person...

(and to see him now 8O he seems to get bigger by the minute!!)
Oh, so cute...I wish we had gotten Sam as a baby. You'll need to let me know how it is with a pupper :D ! Love the name! Are you watching the AKC show on the Animal Planet? It is broadcast live from Tampa, FL (where is is now cold...brrr). Did see a glimpse of a sheepie in the hour long "pregame" show.
Hugs to you...can't wait to see more pics. Promise to figure out my digital problems soon.... :?
new owner, have you started a thread introducing yourself? Telling us a little about you, your family, and sheepie? Every time you post, I think "who is this masked fly-by-topics poster?" hehehe

you should get a username!!! are you female/male? married? we're nosey like that. hehe

isabella, hello... do not change your pic. it's wonderful! you have such a handsome guy. maybe they can get together and play. if she's anything like me, she will probably dig older males. hehehe
Leanne, she is just the sweetest puppy I've ever seen! All of our dogs have been rescues and the youngest one we had ever gotten was 11 mos. old, so I've never had the pleasure of having one this little!! You will have so much fun with her, and since we've seen how good you are with posting pictures, you KNOW we'll be expecting volumes!! I'm sure you won't let us down!

We're all just so excited right along with you!! Yay - Yuki's coming home!!

Thank You (I had to cut Shep the stuffed sheepie out because then it was too big :( )!! A get-together....let's see half way between Georgia and Texas would be....Mississippi That's not too far away, right??:D
5 or 6 more days. phewww.. yesterday was a long one! j/k not really. I need to get my stuff in before Yuki arrives.

i'm going to David's Bridal (wedding dress) tomorrow, so maybe that will help time pass.
OK Jo,
You are going to tell me to get in the 2005 (again, sigh....). I know I need to get a screen name etc, but argh....one of these days I will surprise you!
I live in Florida, married for 15 years, have 1 8 yr old and Samantha who will be 1 in a few weeks.
Have fun picking out your gown!
The masked 8) poster
I hope you know I'm just kidding. :)

Just trying to have a way of always recognizing everyone and bringing them into this forum (for the long run).

That's awesome you have children. a 1 yr. old has to be fun. Isn't that when they grab onto chairs, slide them across the kitchen tile to help them walk with a huge grin on their face, and then fall flat on their cute button faces? hehehe

I can't believe wedding dresses cost so much considering how long you wear them. Winning the lottery sounds so nice.

I brought over the new pic of my dog to my mom (who is Korean and knows VERY LITTLE about animals) and she said "you're getting a sheep?"

I said NO mom, it's not a sheep.

(she looks closer at the pic) "Are you sure?"

Arghh...

"It's a dog, mom!!!!"

She replies: "looks like you're bringing home a sheep to me..."

LOL. I am so excited for you! I've just now had time to get back to the board and read up on the posts, and I was like "oh oh oh! She's getting her sheepdog finally." That is funny, what your mom said. lol. Congratulations!!!
Yes, having a 1 year old is fun....except that I have one 8 year old!!! Who is slowly learning all the wonderful traits of being a boy. He has mastered burping (and other body noises) on command and does arm pit noises perfect  ! Sometimes I think the sheepie is better behaved...geez, I can't believe I just admitted that.
hahahhaha

all the girls in his class must think his abilities are HOT!!!

Aren't those fun?
Better yet, I don't think they EVER grow out of it.
I have only one girl, who is almost 14, and then we have 3 boys, ages 13, 12, and almost 10.
They don't...not even the hubby... :(
We are attempting to work out a plan so I can get her on Thursday around 5 p.m.!

Possibly 3 more days! I'm breaking out in hives. I think I need to breathe. lol
LOL
I can't wait either! How far of a drive is it for either of you? Are you still planning on meeting halfway?
3 MORE DAYS!! lol - Joahaeyo - you sound like me last November as we were counting down the days to when we were going to get our pup Farley. You'd swear it were Christmas! ('cept better!)

I remember thinking how big he was at 15 weeks. Now - he's huge! 55 pounds and eating like an elephant! They grow up waaay too quickly. So take lots of pics (and post'm too!).

You are going to have so much fun!
--h:)
Okay Isabella and Jo, Alabama is in between too, and that is where Albertsmommy and I are. You two just keep that in mind next time you start planning this little get together of yours. If we keep this up, we mind have enough Sheepies in the South to have our own SheepieFest.

What a great idea!!! Hmmm *puts thinking cap on* I'm sure we could orchastrate somthing.... :D
Willowsprite, I am taking a taxi to pick her up an hour away. They are making the rest of the trip the other way (however far WI is???). That's so nice. Every time I complain about it being cold there, I think of y'all up north.

Heather, no no. bad. ;) You can't talk about them growing up so fast. I will be so sad if she takes up the couch before my fiance comes back from Iraq. lol

isabella and betsy, that sounds so great. then i will feel terrible that we don't have everyone from the board with us. I enjoy being part of future get-togethers w/y'all. Just glad everyone is so welcoming. :)
just wanted to say when i wake up, there will only be one more day of waiting. I can hear the cheer section behind me ....at least in my mind. ;)

I know no one is excited but myself (since it's my dog), but I had to make sure I threw in the countdown number. As if you couldn't subtract 1 day.
Wait, wait- it is Thursday today! So does that mean that puppy has arrived? Man, she is coming down from WI? That's like a 2 1/2 day drive, I think! Of course, I wouldn't mind being in TX today, it is cold and gray here in MN.

Puppy puppy puppy!

Oooh, I wish it was me.... Sniffle!

Karen :)
If you're afraid he will call her Yucky, (although the idea of all the times you'll have to say "yucky Yuki! " makes me giggle,) you could always call her Suki. It's the French nickname version of Suzanne and it's both short and different. You'd sound like you're singing the song as you hollar out, "Suki, Suki now". Sorry I just dated myself a bit there. I have a good friend with that name and it always sounds cool to my ears. Perhaps when you're eyes finally meet her perfect name will pop into your head. I still like Yuki for the meaning, white and soft are perfect weays to describe a sheepie pup. Dont forget to take lots of pictures!!!
Hi Everyone,

I usually don't talk much on this forum but last year a friend of ours had a sheepie picnic at her home outside atlanta and we invited everyone we knew with sheepdogs. we probably had around 30 families turn out with around 40 dogs with a dish of some kind for a fun casual afternoon. I think she wants to have another this year and probably next month. Anyone interested?
