not that I obsess much...

Doing research on immune issues brought up some information I thought I would share. Many of us have poop eating dogs from the posts I have seen - and yes Morgan was a poop eater till we switched to RAW. One article on immune issues in GSD refers to early signs of pancreatitis issues may be poop eating. I am cutting and pasting to get it right and I'll add the link.

A dog with the sub-acute form of pancreatitis may exhibit coprophagy, which means he eats his own (or others’) stools. It may be that he smells the undigested fats and carbohydrates and instinctively consumes it as food to give those nutrients “another chance.” from Immune System Problems in the GSD and Other Breeds by Fred Lanting

Makes sense. I'm sure my poop eater would approve of going RAW.
Summer is terrible I have to stand next to her with a spade! But Katy who we lost from suspected pancreatis never did it.
I have obsessed more in the past month , than I have in my whole life....My GSd with EPI did not eat poop even before the enzymes were introduced. I will have to take a peek at the GSD forum I belong to ???
What is RAW?
raw, raw food, raw meat, chicken, veggies etc.
