Female Sheepie Name Help!

I like Yuki.
this is a name I've wanted to name my dog for years. It means "white snow" "lucky" ..and considering it's an OES, I thought it was appropriate. It is Japanese. Pronounced: "You-Key"

I like Joah.
this is obviously the username I always choose and something that is dear to me. It is Korean for "I love" ..."I like" ..."I adore..."
This is the short version from the original which is Joahaeyo. Pronounced "Jo-ah-aye-oh" ....it's smooth and fast, not choppy like I'm sure it will come off. hehe

I like weird names. Any suggestions? Or votes for the above?

If I had a male, his name would be Addicus or Arnie. ;)

Thanks folks. I will let my fiance make the final decision.

8) I like Yuki, too...especially considering its meaning. I really like Addicus for boy, too. (with a nod to Harper Lee, of course!).
hmm- I'd say "Nimbus" for a boy, but then you'd be stealing my favorite boy puppy name! I'd say "Deedlit" for a girl, but then you'd be stealing my favorite girl puppy name. hmm... maybe I shouldn't be giving you my favorite names at all...

how about:

Athena
Diana
Ghost
Sterling
Spirit
Joy
Snow

or how about "doggie"

Karen :)
How about popohejo? (spelling)?
If i had gotten a female sheepie i would have named her Mia. I like human names for dogs...(Other names for males i had were Milo/Myles)

I like the name Yuki, too.

this site was very useful to me because you could set the search parameters for names from art/literature, foriegn, food, sports, religion, nicknames, etc...I don't know if i heard about it on this forum but i'll repost the site anyway

Bowwow Names

Some ideas:
Adele -noble and kind
Aiko -love
Cara -dear one
Inu -dog
Kali -Hindu goddess of Creation
Kiah -season's beginning
Maliika -angel in Swahili.
Nari -thunder
Osa -bear
Sabaka -Russian for dog
My next girl sheepie someday will be named Caoimhe, it is pronounced Key-vah, and it means gentleness, beauty, and grace. (Irish) The graceful part I'm not so sure about  but I love it anyway.
For a boy, I have a few ideas.... one of which is for someday when I am able to find a male pup who fits the bill genetically speaking, will be named Durc, from a favorite series of books. I also love the name Sunchaser for a boy or a girl.
Ok, since we have a bit of conversation going on between us....
love the girl names...but Addicus reminds me of the character in The Birdcage. Loved the movie, but couldn't see you sheepie filling the "shoes" of that character :D !
I had what I called Yuppie Puppies, Dylan and Chloe. I named them waaaaaayyyy before those names were popular as kiddy names....in fact, I had several friends who were preggers say that they could not possibly name their daughter Chloe because I had a dog with that name. Oh well....
Samantha had her name for 8 months and we couldn't change it....but Sammy is kind of cute!! I would of named her Dulce, it is a musical term meaning soft, slow....ok stop laughing!!! :D
I have a cat named Chloe already :P

are you going to post a pic of your OES? :)
Yeah, as soon as I figure out how to put the images on the camera to the computer
oh no. catch up with the times. it's 2005 ...my new friend. hehehehehe

(hugs)

it's addicting once you learn. i post pics of when i have manicures. so in other words, every detail of my life gets posted sometimes (just b/c I can). hehehe
Jo I like Yuki for a name too.
Make sure you give your fiance a list of names that you like, to choose from.
Willowsprite, Durc is a great name for a pup :D . Do you think it will take 12 years again for the next installment? I'm too impatient lol. The Earth's Childrens books are one of my favorites!! Maybe it's time to go read them... again.
OK...My Ex-Husband got a female kitten for my son yesterday (actually as a companion for my 10 yr old Cat that he stole from me in the divorce) and he asked my son for name suggestions this morning. My son came up with this name. I'm not sure how he came up with it.
He also named Pepsi. He told his Dad that he was going to call the Cat, Topia. Pronounced Like Utopia minus the U.
I think it is so cute. Especially that a 6 yr old came up with the name.
I checked a couple of websites and it doesn't look like the name even exists... Very Unique!!!
So that is my suggestion....

I hope it doesn't take another 12 years! It has taken her 26 years to write the series so far... and I was hugely disappointed with SOS! I just want her to finish the story! I've re read them all so many times that I've worn out several copies of each except SOS. I've only read it twice, the day it came out. I've been trying to convice myself to read it again and see if I enjoy it more now that I haven't been waiting 12 years for it. LOL
I was on animal planet playing the First Dog's game (matching president with dog) and found out that former President Lyndon Johnson had a dog named Yuki.

(can you tell i was just a tad bit bored? )
isabella, you rock. that's so cool to know. who would have thunk it?

now i shall email all my friends and tell them. :D
I like Comfort.
This is fun to see the trends in dog naming! I have some customers in Japan and for a while I was seeing dogs named Sue, Andy, Sam, very simple and "americanized". Most of mine came with names already attached so I just added Wigglebottom to the existing names. Now I feel like I really have to ponder this...! For some odd reason, I'm leaning towards Walt for a boy! LOL! Walt Wigglebottom? hmmmmmmmmm.....maybe I should re-think this! : ) I love looking at the kennel names and the "themed" names. There's a breeder who names all hers after rock music of the 60's, another who names after high end boutiques, etc. I don't have a theme, but I did liked the Avengers so had an Emma (she came with that name and we added "ApPealling" and Steed's name was John?! We added
"SteedFast", but most people called him Steve...he didn't care. He was deaf and would answer to anything. ..... guess I'm not very helpful in the puppy naming department!
You sure you guys think an OES is right for me when she will be living with this guy?

Just for background, when he refers to "Isis" ...that is our present dog.

My fiance emailed me and said: (regarding names for our new puppy):

How about Yuck EE. I really don't care. That is stuff girls care about. You could name her d@mn it. So I could yell in the front yard, "D@mn it come here". How about Itit. We could have an Isis and an Itit. Really just kidding. Our first dog was Raven. Since she will be grey and white we could name here Pigeon. Then teach her to poop on people.

Her name is officially Yuki.

I keep receiving emails from him and he's already gotten in a habit of calling her Yucky. ;)

Sounds great to me...she'll LOVE HIM! He seems to have the right kind of humor that OES truly appreciate in their uprights!
Personally, I think Pigeon is a great name...and he won't have to teach her poop on people...sometimes it just happens! LOL! You are going to have so much fun!!!!

teehehehehe oh no. :D
When do you get her? Soooooooon?????? : )
Thursday night (80% most likely)!!!!

It will be just in time for everyone to go to bed when I finally get home.

though I'm sure no one will be getting sleep the first night but my maltese. puppy crying (i plan to crate) and cat slapping me and the other dog around because i brought home a new smell. ...not to mention the new smell moves, licks, and likes to play. i imagine it to be a hard few weeks. after that, i hope chloe the cat plays with her (she and the other dog play ALL day long. you'd be suprised how my cat can body slam my other dog...lol)
I worked in my college's psychology lab I had a rat named D@mn It. We weren't techinically supposed to name our rats but if I was helping other students my rat would sit on my shoulder. She wouldn't sit still sometimes and ended up on top of my head or running down my arm or jumping onto other people, etc. Everytime she'd do something of the sort there would be an exclamation of d*mn it this and that. It got to the point where people would walk into the lab and ask to see D*mn it do her tricks. Apparently the D expletive was used so much in regards to her it became her name!
So becareful what you start out joking around about, it just might stick! 8O
An old one this, but i like it....

How about deefer?

(it's like calling a cat Ceefer)

Ceefer Cat.....

Geddit?
I like Deefer Dog and Ceefer Cat! LOL! Add in a Beefer Bird and you have quite the family!
i still like Comfort.AH,the comfort of a sheepie is like no other comfort.
