4 Month Old Female OES in Illinois

Wish I could take this one...
Chicagoland OES Rescue received a call today that a fellow wants them to place his 4 MONTH old OES (female). His personal situation has changed and his new friend does not want him to keep the dog. She will need to be spayed (when appropriate) but does need a good home with someone willing to give her the training that ALL new puppies need as well as proper grooming. If anyone is looking for a youngster and is willing to devote time to her please let me know.

You spoke with Sally...I know, it's confusing.
FYI< They will only adopt her nearby
(not sure how close, but shipping isn't possible)
Just thought I'd mention it for everyone else's convenience.
Do they need a foster home for this girl?
What if someone picks her up? NO shipping. Will that work?

I can't speak for Chicagoland but the reason WI only adopts dogs out in a certain geographical area isn't primarily shipping, but so it's easier for us to stay in touch with the people who adopt our dogs and make sure everything is OK.

Exceptions might be made if, say, a local rescue further afield had a great home specifically well-suited for a dog we had, or vice versa, and we could work together with them in some way or another.

You'd need to ask Sally, of course. But I'm almost willing to bet that in the case of a 4 mos old puppy they may have people lined up to adopt, so there really isn't a lot of incentive to look further afield for a home.

We just placed a five month old boy I didn't even bother to have put up on petfinder because I already had a great home in mind and they did indeed take him. The relatively problem-free baby dogs can go fast.

Hang in there VelcroVoodoo. I know you've been trying hard to find a new sheepie; it'll happen!!!! :ghug:
I am located in Michigan, and looking for an OES, I have owned one in the past, and very familiar with their care.. I would prefer a young female. Please contact me at sassy_lil_red at yahoo.
