Another Rescue????

Last night my husband pulled into our driveway and in his headlights saw a large black rabbit. Carlos called me out of the house and we both went to investigate (brown cottontails are common here, not large black rabbits). We found a completely tame, very large, beautiful black rabbit. I was able to approach him and pick him up, he was so tame. We brought him into the house and put him in our inside rabbit pen. He is obviously a pet. We are hoping that he just wasn't "dumped." I have contacted the police, humane society, local school, local businesses and left fliers in all of my neighbors mailboxes this morning. So far there has been response. I have the feeling we have acquired a new member of our household!

Lucky you, Kathie!! :P

This happened to me quite a few years back, only I was not able to pick them up. There were two B&W bunnies in my back yard. They were obviously someone's pets who had gotten out. I tried to corral them and pick them up so I could keep them safe until I found out who they belonged to. But, I was unable to catch them and they got away from me in the woods. :( I always felt badly about that as I'm not sure what became of them. :(

I'm glad your fellow/gal has a happier ending!! :D
How fortunate you just happen to have an inside bunny pen, empty. What are you going to call your new addition? And of course we would like pics.

Thank you for adopting Mr. Bun.
Yay for Mr. Bunny! I hope that either you find his family or that he has found his family. I would love to see pics along with the kitties! You are an angel to take them in. :hearts:

No kidding! That bunny lucked out. If it were me, he'd have to go in the bath tub. ;)
