food settlement and deadline to claim

Am I totally overlooking it or is there an explanation somewhere of what you must show as proof that your animal was damaged by the food? Seems like there could be an awful lot of wiggle room there.
I would assume in th eclaim forms they want some documentation - which may be hard for some to come up with.

That's what I was thinking, too. I don't doubt that a lot of animals may have gotten sick or died but I also wonder how many people think and/or assume that was the cause of death of their pets without really knowing for sure.
