I'm having a pity party and you're invited.

I'm tired and my back hurts. And Bob has an abscess in his hoof and can barely walk. He'll be o.k. but is confined to his stall and it's a lovely day. I feel so bad for him because he's uncomfortable. And I am too.

So I'm going to watch t.v. and eat potato chips. Can't work out because my back hurts. I want my mommy.

Anyone want to join my party??????

I have a pain going up the right side of my neck since I woke up. I am right handed so a real pain in the neck. I keep exercising it so that it will losen and does feel some better.

I hope both you and Bob feel better soon.

By the way, I only allow myself until tomorrow morning for this to go away. :D

Paula, have you tried the "heat patches" for your back? They work wonderfully.
Poor you two, I have no pains today but then again the sun has been shining and that makes me feel so much better. Hugs for you both!
I had a migraine all day yesterday, ruining the whole day and this morning, I was lying on the couch and Owen and Clyde were playing next to me. Owen, in his uncoordinated 13 week old puppy body, went to jump and bite Clyde but he missed and landed on my face. He tore clean through my nostril, so now I have about an 1/8 torn flap at the tip of my nose. I cleaned it up, liquid bandaged it and I think it'll heal okay. It bled like crazy and it looked like someone got shot in the living room. Owen wound up getting a bath because I bled all over him, too.

I've had better weekends. :(
I need a pity party too!!! While walking Maggie (puppy) I did a stupid thing...early morning, slippers, standing on a slope, wet grass....down I went...I either have a pulled ligament (that could be good) OR a torn something that starts with a "m"...will know after the MRI on Tuesday. If it's the torn thing...surgery if not just 2-4 mths in leg brace to heal!!! Wouldn't be so bad but I have a puppy that needs to go out every 2 hours and I need to train her on the invisible fence so I can let her run...she so needs to run with Rosie...right now they are using the house...not good. I am also taking her to puppy classes on Wed. nights and need to practice each day...the good news is this is my first year not teaching in 31 years and I am home and not trying to get around work like this! I'm already tired of the knee brace and limping along and Maggie doesn't seem to notice anything...she just keeps on going, going, going! Two more weeks and she should be ready to run freely about....I even had to miss the fall festival downtown this weekend
I am having a terrible day too. I am all inflammed can hardly walk and just am angry about everything dying around me. I have been in bed with the dogs most of the day like lucy sulking in her beanbag chair....... I hope everyone heals up (Bob too!) Thanks for letting me join the pity party Oh and my house looks like a tornado went through. All my dogs need to be bathed and groomed and I cannot even hold on to a brush to do my own hair. Phooey!!!!
I wanna join in too! Everything hurts.
I had to paint the living room - and decided I also needed to paint the entry door which lead to the faux painted doors in the Master Berroom. the bad news - my right hand has swollen up from (I think) grabbing the roller and brush for so many hours. To get my mind off of it I took Mr Newfie Puppy (who at 9 months is approximatley the size of a small pony) to the dog park - and got eaten up by mosquitoes.
I see rum in my future tonight.
Oh vey! Sorry you're feeling cummy, Paula. Every part of my body aches. I wonder if our lousy economy is adding stress to our already taxed bodies
I had a stroke. :twitch:
I'll join your party need a stiff drink also, so what is on the coctail menu?

Jim Bean?
Bundy rum?
Fluffy Duck etc etc
Heck I am easy to cater for, anything with a kick will do.

Potato chips YUM on my way 8)

Been down in the dumps too :(
Sorry to hear about your hurts and Bob's hoof, Paula. I threw my back out this week too, and then I walked the Race for the Cure 5K yesterday and that was a huge mistake, because now it's even worse. So - literally - I feel your pain  Hope you feel better soon!
Wow, there sure are lots of aches and pains here.

I'm sorry that everyone is feeling it today. This is the first day in a long time that something doesn't hurt or ache(too bad) on me.

I'm convinced its the fall. Gets darker earlier and it gets depressing and everything starts to hurt.

BIG HUGS to everyone who is hurting and hope everone gets better FAST!!!
My "pain in the neck" had almost totally disapated by yesterday morning. Still was a little tender, but just watched what I did to not aggrivate it. So no swimming, bummer. I am fine now and back to normal....looking forward to baking today. :D

I hope everyone else is feeling better soon. 8)
i bet i can top all of you i just had an eye lift shhhhhhh no one is suppose to know.. right now i can't really see and look like i got beat up!! duffy is even scared of me!!
My back is better too. Not totally but good enough. Bob's leg was not swollen yesterday but I think the abscess is hiding and will return. But for now he's o.k. I still am crabby though.....
Everything still hurts... but a little less.

Maybe we're all on the road to recovery! :plead:
I've had a migrane for 4 days now won't go away........

but then, maybe if Norm would find a job that would go away too....... he was told last week he had a new contract with same company but not back to Iraq, but South Korea for a year. We wer told he would be leaving on the 20th........ thats the last we've heard from them...... kind of makes me a bit nervous and he quit looking at other jobs once they told him he had this one.... hmmmmmmmmm no WONDER i have a migraine!
8O You guys are killing me
hehe - after 6 weeks of a painful knee (taking painkillers and anti inflamatories)and a week walking on it around Berlin, I have finallly made an appointment for the doc, I see him this afternoon - no doubt I'll be advised to take antiinflamatories and pain killers!

It's getting to the point I can't take the hound out for more than half an hour before being in a lot of pain.

It all started when the daft hound tried to make my knee bend the wrong way by running into it at full pelt! :o

I'm betting you got some torn cartilage or a ruptured meniscus. Let us know what the doctor says.

To add to the pity party, apparently they're serving really good snacks because I've gained 3 pounds in the last 10 days. 8O
I have to say I feel better physically and a little better mentally. I can barely stand to go into the barn with nothing but a donk in it. She is cute but I miss horses. We put new fence up when I was at sheepiepalooza (amish did the work) and we have a lovely barn. Oak board walls cement floors. stalls are heavily rubber matted. Paula too bad you are not closer Bob would make a wonderful addition here :D I have to take Guinness for hip x rays today and will work our way to knees then hock. Nervous about that......This is a good party for the soul.............

That's very thoughtful of you. Our barn will close when the owner dies and I'm worried about finding a new home for Bob. If you lived closer I could keep him at your house with the donk. I just pray that the barn owner lives a loooong life (although he's in his early 80s, he still fixes fences and puts up hay).
Well, good news and more bad here.
Norm has a job. thats the good news........ bad is that he is leaving again. good news....... he isn't going back to Iraq. he will be in South Korea. bad news....... not as much money as Iraq.....

Hey, it's a job. After 3 months and over 200 resumes sent out.....we are happy to have it. The bank isn't being too kind about our mortgage, but hey we will deal with it and will survive....... at least i hope we will...... we may have to cash in his 401K to catch up but it's better to do that than to lose the house.

the other good news is Duncan is going to be a dad at 10 years of age! And WHAT a breeding this is...... i cannot wait for them to be born..... will send all the details later. They are up in Canada and what a pedigree behind these puppies too!
Can I join the pitty party?
I broke my ankle in April, and of course being an ER nurse, I waited 6 weeks to go to the Dr. The good news- it was a small well healing fracture.
In August while in Outer Banks my Rt. foot started hurting like heck, with my lupus and no known injury, I was sure it was just the lupus. Had it X-rayed as soon as I returned just to be sure and was told no fracture. I still have pretty incredible pain only now in both feet. This past Thursday I went to a foot surgeon....I have a really nasty, displaced fracture of my rt. foot. Every step I've taken since April has hurt.
I am in a Cam Cast for 6-8 weeks with no weight bearing, and using a bone stimulator. If it doesn't show improvement then it will need surgery for a plate. The surgery is the preferred treatment but with all the steriods and other meds for my lupus, healing could be a problem so we're going to at least try the conservative approach.
We have a large (7,000+) Civil War reenactment this weekend and I was really looking forward to it. Instead Chauncey & I are bumming around the house. I encouraged Bob to go alone so that I could be miserable and get it out of my system. This sucks!!! I'd spend the weekend with the Captain ( Morgan ) but I'm afraid I'd fall of my crutches and break something else
Okay, enough whining. Thanks for the pitty party......Kathy
