We're so proud!!

Bob took Charlie to the "Big Boy Groomer" yesterday and it was AWESOME!! :clappurple: They're located in Bountiful, about 20 minutes from Layton, so he took the afternoon off. He said it is such a "chick store" because it's decorated all cutesy-fartsy, has boutique items, and is totally girly. He felt completely out of place in there. When he walked in, a guy with a HUGE dog (everyone else in there was a lap-dog), they looked at him really strange. They were really leery of Charlie because of his size. Bob showed the lady a picture of dogs' cuts we loved (Winston and Heart from Nationals--thanks Stephanie for that one!!) and started telling them what we are looking for now and in the future as he grows. They said it would take 3-4 hours and they'd call him when Charlie was done.

When Sammi and Bob went to get him, there were a ton of ladies in there getting their little tiny dogs--even a couple of big guys walked out with these little "rat-dogs" as Bob calls them--and then out walks Charlie. He was about twice his normal size because he was so "poofy and fluffy." The manager, who took care of him, came out and told him she was so incredibly impressed with how well trained he was, how well-behaved he was, and what an absolutely sweet dog he was. She asked if we had blow-dried him before and Bob told her only a couple of times with the girls' hairdryer. She was shocked! She said at first he was a little wary of it blowing in his face but after a second or two, he calmed right down and just stood there! She thought it was funny that he kept wanting to lay down in the tub--she hadn't seen a dog do that before (be so comfortable with baths that he wanted to take a nap!!)! Sammi laughed because normal dogs probably aren't bathed as much as their humans!! :)

Anyway, he's beautiful an she did a TERRIFIC job!! I'm so proud!!

This is the BEFORE (Note the arm-band. That's from getting "fixed" a couple of weeks ago. :( )

I agree!!!!! Give Charlie a huge sheepie kiss from Heart :hearts: ....she thinks he looks mahvelous!!!!!!!!
How old is Charlie? He looks super brown! Must be all that old puppy coat coming out to make room for the big boy coat, huh?
He'll be 8 months on Tuesday (October 14). He was a Valentine's baby!! :ghug:
A handsome boy he is!
i bet he smells as good as he looks!! :D
That's the other part that we LOVED!! He was so incredibly soft and sweet smelling!! :hearts: Last night, I was watching TV and he backed up to me and sat on my lap (typical--our 75 lb. lap dog) and I just rubbed his back and butt. Bob got some of her shampoo so he'll be pretty at home, too. It was kinda pricey (compared to Head & Shoulders or Petco) but hopefully, it will be worth it!

Anyone ever heard of it??
No, but it looks interesting. We don't have it here, but I can order it online!

Charlie looks great! So nice he had a good experience.
Even better he went out there and gave all OES a good name by being so sweet! :go:
It almost looks like Charlie is smiling in the pictures. He's gorgeous!
Charlie looks wonderful! Phoebe always comes out with her white fur looking like cotten-candy. Enjoy his new look.
Charlie looks great!!
Charlie is a QT-Patootie for sure!

His before pic looks like mine. Were in the process of getting fixed up per say.
Charlie looks great! Rarely does Sidney look that fluffy. She seems to know she's too cute and immediately rough houses w/the other dogs and rolls until her fur is back to normal. Nice to see another sheepie lover in UT. I have known very few out here (my co-owner & three others)! Have you taken Charlie on the trail w/the switchbacks yet? Sidney loves it but always comes home dirty (she likes the river)
Charlie looks gorgeous and hey :) he is just one day older than Oscar!!!
Sorry that you are not close to Denver so Charlie could come over and play.

I saw it yesterday at the groomer's when I went to pick up my neigbor's Afghan. I would love to know how you like it when you bathe him at home.

And he looks wonderful (though I thought he looked pretty darn good in the before pic, too!)
