I've had ENOUGH of puppy pads!!!

Ughh... after 7+ years, I'm giving them up!!! I used to think they were the best thing ever. If we had to leave for the day, our maltese would just tinkle on them. Never since we got her has she had an accident. She's a smartee. Even better if someone came to watch her because they just had to change the pad once a day rather than coming several times a day to take her out and potentially lose her (my biggest fear).

But when she walks off them (which is a litter box), she sometimes (accidentally) stands in it and drags it on our new carpet. Despite the litter box, I can still smell it in the area around it. It's driving me BONKERS!!!

So out they go. She's going to have some accidents with this change, I'm sure... but they stink!!!

/rant over

Not sure what anyone could reply with, but it's frustrating me enough to share.

my sister has three small dogs (two Morkies?) and I just can't understand why she uses the pads - and they walk them.

I am with you. good luck on the change over.
OK, this is silly........anyway to put a pad under a wire crate that has a metal floor? Could you turn a regular wire crate upside down? So what if the top is open, you aren't confining. That way dog can go in and tinkle thru the wire onto the pad and you can pull out the tray with the pad to change it?

Gook luck on training the fellow now!
