Where does your pup sleep?

Since I went up to my parents farm (where there's a no dogs in the house rule) Bally has really taken to sleeping outside at night. He already has an outside kennel, so now I let him stay out there every few nights and he really seems to enjoy it more- plus I get to sleep in later :D So I was wondering how many other pups are outdoorsy and what other places you (well, they) choose to put them to bed.

Sometimes on the bed, sometimes on several couches, sometimes on the floor, sometimes on several different doggie beds. For our neighbors' sake we keep them indoors at night.

During the day they are inside or out, according to their wishes and Mom's mood.
George sleeps inside except in the summer if its hot and then he goes out.

Hes brought back in though if he starts barking at the hedgehogs!!
I chose on the bed, only because he has 3 to choose from: ours, the one in the spare bedroom, and his in the floor. He normally chooses the spare bedroom.
Oscar sleeps on a king-sized dog bed on the floor next to me. Sleep outside? Never in a million, trillion, bajillion years. Too many coyote around here.

Laurie and Oscar
George sleeps inside, but never on furniture. He rarely even gets on the furniture. He prefers the floor. Usually whatever piece of floor is closest to me. Failing that he is in front of the fan on the linoleum floor. :D
Inside, on the floor. Bailey doesn't have permission to be on the furniture, except for the occasions when he "sits" on the couch with us because we think it's so funny. He sleeps on the tile floor in the entryway or on the tile floor in the master bathroom. In the middle of winter he might sleep on his dog bed.

Bailey would never stay outside for the whole night, he's too neurotic to be separated from his people for very long. I wish he was a little more independent, but he sticks to us pretty closely.
I ticked inside, Dutch lays on the bed beside me for about 5-10 min. then it's on to the floor where she lays beside the bed to sleep

that is such a Marley move!! Morgan - when I sleep in the lower bed that he can get up on, literally lays on me. some part of him must be over somepart of me. I think I'll sleep in there more this winter with the lower thermostat issues
Maizie and Hattie sleep in the Kitchen and Utility they have their own beds.. and they are fine its cool down there for them!!!

It is a general rule that no farmer lets his dogs sleep in the house, apart from the oldest maybe who are allowed to sleep in the kitchen, although saying that you have an OES as a pet and today they love to be with their uprights. I think the pup is bit young to be sleeping outside and you may spoil him for when you return home.
Bella sleeps on the floor, and Nigel sleeps in his crate with the door open. When he is ready for bed, that is where he goes. He does lie on the bed with me for a bit before he retires.
due to joints, on a bed in our bedroom. sometimes on the bed despite us not wanting her to jump down. she has a mind of her own.
Each of our dogs has a different place. At bedtime, Clyde sleeps on the floor next to me (in front of a fan), Bear sleeps in the bathroom on the cool tile and Owen sleeps in his crate in the dog room (also in front of a fan). The dog room is right across the hall from us so he can se us and we can see him. At some point, when he's older, I hope to be able to leave the door to the crate open and let him choose

When we're just hanging out, Clyde or Bear lay on the couch or the floor by us. Owen has another crate in the living room with yet another fan set up so he likes to sleep just outside the front door of the crate-- not in it, just near it.

He seems a lot less restless if he's outside, and with the heat we've had here over the last few weeks I think he's enjoying the breeze too. I don't really feel there's a problem with him being out there if it's his preference, we're lucky enough not to have to worry about anything like coyote! ;)
Geesh my guys sleep where ever they want!
I usually fall asleep watching tv on the couch in the
living room and by morning I am on the floor and they are
on the couch!
Mine sleep in the kennel which happens to be in the house on the lower level. They each have their own kennel run. They are content there. Now if you gave Mariah a choice, she'd choose our bed everytime. She's the only one like that. When we go to dog shows & stay in motels, she gets to sleep in bed. José & Isaac have always preferred their crates when not at home in the kennel.
Patch sleeps on the bare floor outside the bedroom in the hall. She doesnt sleep on the couches or chairs, she simply is not interested which is fine with me. However, when I get out of the shower in the morning she is my bed all comfy and happy. I would NEVER leave her outside - skunks, raccoons, possum - and she would miss me and I would worry about her all night.
