behavior

Gus is 10 years old and all of a sudden he is hanging his head and isn't barking. He ate dinner ok.

Does anyone think this is just a sign of old age. He is my pal and I am not ready to let him go.

It's hard to say if what you are experiencing with him is old age or not. Since you know your dog best, if there is a big change in behavior, it never hurts to get him checked out by your vet.
my dog buddy does this- only when he is at my mothers house. he finds that by doing it and looking depressed he gets attention. he started doing it because he was bored, or because my mum had a mouse under the cupboard! anyway we found a kong, a couple of new toys and some hidden treats stopped it and let me drink my tea and chat without feeling guilty.
gis is back to normal. I feel that is probably was the damp weather that day.

thanks for all of your concerns
