Is this Alpha/Owner Abuse?

Mr. J isn't here so I slept in an hour later than normal (this was yesterday), which means I didn't feed Yuki on time. Suddenly, I had 56lbs stomping all over me on the bed. She was so wild, it influenced lil J to follow suit, and bounce all over his mom in bed. My OWN son turned against me. :( I stood up in fear, and the spinning and circle time got even worse. I didn't know where to walk b/c her body, mostly her wigglebum, was flinging everywhere. She was screaming (okay, ...howling) "do you know what time it is?!?!?!" while biting my shirt ...and dragging me downstairs. I saw my life flash before my eyes as I braved the stairs while being dragged. Her head in mid spin went right into my shin.

I think I need to call someone to report the abuse. All I have is Joshee to comfort my horrible experience.

But at least you have a good nurse tending your boo-boo.

I woke up an hour late this a.m. but since I was in the recliner, they couldn't get to me   Otherwise my 60 lb-er would have been standing on me, licking my eyes open.

As for bruise, do they get bruises too. Those head butts must surely leave something on them too.
I ALWAYS wonder about that too. As much as they ram into us, they have to hurt!! My husband says, "I" was in HER way, but I never look at it that way when I get hurt. I always blame the one not visibly in pain. ;)
I have been told they should not be allowed to bump into you (it is the height of doggy rudeness) and when they do you should (lightly) bump back.

I do know if I make an issue of it they do stop - although Marley seems to do it mostly when she is coming into heat (or as I like to say hormone hell)
Recently "my" dog decided to do a back roll on the grass forgetting, apparently, that my legs where there and my knees do not go backwards.

Didn't quite knock me to the ground, but I think it showed up as a "bone bruise" on an MRI of my knee that I had already scheduled.

They always seem to know the vulnerable spot.
hahahahahaha

Ty does that EVERY morning, when he decides it's TIME TO EAT, then IT'S TIME TO GET UP. Doesn't matter if it's Sat and maybe I could sleep alittle later.

But he's only 7 lbs so it isn't quite so traumatic.

How did the MRI go ?
It started back in Jan. when we got Garfunkel...

Knocked down walking in the woods, sprained finger, pulled into a picnic table bench, got hit from behind from BOTH dogs and bloodied my knees, and tripped over one dog  trying to get ahold of the other and bruised the cartaledge(sp)in my free ribs(still feeling that one!)

I'm sure he's not done with me yet...
Ah yes, the pain of puppyhood. Remember Val and Maggie.....and Val's broken leg. Gar will grow up and be a gentleman......you will be so proud, if you survive.
we are just covered with Newfie sized bruises. when someone asks our pat reply is - oh my husband/wife did that to me. one of us is going to get called in by the authorities one of these days.

I haven't made an appointment for a follow up yet; been too busy working on the house. Will do this or next week.

Interesting how your leg can make your tassels stand almost straight up!

:D :D :D **CHEESE**
:? sheesh Ron!!!

I'm thinking sheepies are head strong (my attempt at being punny) and wouldn't feel it but for a mere second when they accidently ram into us.

Our biggest problem with Archie is the deliberate throwing of his nylabone (the BIG one) onto our unshod feet, boy does that hurt, and I am sure he thinks it's funny!
I'm forever getting bruises from wrestling with Beaureguard. He still acts like a puppy and has no idea of his size and strength. My biggest gripe with him is how he tosses his head around with his mouth open and those darn teeth scrape my skin.

I do not have a problem with them getting me up early, though. They are crated at night, but when I do get up, whatever time that is, I always have to wake them up to take them out. I think they'd sleep until noon if I did. I love my lazy sheepies.

thats what happens with Dutch and I , but she will stay asleep till I get up thank gosh :D
8O I always have a bruise somewhere. Re. Nylabones: my beef is that Willoughby drops it on my head when I do my back exercises in front of the TV! Re sleeping in: I have to wake him no matter what! 8) The cats on the other hand know what time the alarm goes off and start trying to wake me 20 minutes before!
