I LOVE College Football

This has been an interesting and fun few days of football.

I have been a fan of my team since I was 10 years old. This has always been a huge family time for us. The girls in my family still fight for the sports page - even when we travel. We all have blurry eyes from watching game after game on Saturdays - a different game in each room when the idiots of football programing force us to keep up with multiple games at once.

We are going to an "away game" next Saturday that is actually closer to our house than my team's field. I bought 20 tickets ( 8O ) for our group. We will leave early to get to the game and tailgate like we did 2 years ago. We plan to go every two years and take more people each year.

When my daughter and son finish up in two years, we would like to start traveling to a traditional powerhouse venue each year. A good friend has promised to set us up with her friends who tailgate at Penn State for our first trip. We might show up at your college team's venue someday.

And I hate, hate, hate, the polls this early. Like my coach and QB said, they really mean nothing until the second weekend of October. I still see too much work to be done to deserve a high ranking - and too many teams start out over-rated (see upsets).
But it looks like we are going to reach 30,000 points soon - probably next week. Pretty cool. And we've had 4 coaches reach 100 victories, which impresses me.

I love college football.

I LOVED that A&M beat Army. Probably the only game we'll win this season, but it was FAN-TASTIC! I love Sunday and the Cowboys!!! Sunday afternoons were not created or intended for anything else. Oh, and drinking beer with pizza
I guess the Redskins get to have their win every decade or so.
At least they can't blame it on Roy.

LOL-- my Dad and Brothers are huge Cowboy fans too! John is a die hard Bengals fan-- so we are used to loosing, but a loss to the Browns, like the one today, is always hard.

Our Buckeyes have bounced backed after our embarrasment with USC  No matter what we LOVE our BUCKS!
Go USC! Too bad they had such an off night last Thursday...But they have the cutest QB! 8)

I thought of you when we watched them at Oregon State last week. Then I giggled. ;)

Well, I'm from a house divided. My husband and MIL and some other family members went to SC, but my brother went to UCLA...but SC has classy cheerleader outfits, so I lean toward them.
