Planning stages of SheepieFest of The West 4! (California)
I know it's 6 months away, but a couple of people have asked if we could set a date now. Again it will be in March (the best weather in the Desert). It will be a 2 day event again. It was so much fun last year that we decided to do that again. I believe Wendy wanted us to have it the first weekend in March, so she could come. How does that sound to everyone? QuailTrail has agreed to help me plan it this year and it looks like this will be the best year yet!!! We are going to do shirts again.... and maybe bandana's for the dogs. I have a great design, much better than the first shirts. If anyone would like to know more, please PM me. |

| Elissa, I can never plan this far in advance - I just found out on Tuesday that I'm leaving the country on Sunday. Not that I'm complaining. I hope that my company continues to do well despite the economy and they continue to send me flying about at the last minute for many years to come.
But, I will mark the date and make a big effort to come. We had a great time last year and I know we'll want to come for the weekend again (and visit the fabulous outlet mall again  ). The only thing I would do differently would be to find a dog friendly hotel closer to your house and the dog park. Maybe right near downtown. |

Just let me know if there is anything I can help. I can offer my home as doggy daycare center if we want to go out and party at night. My Bruce said he could doggy-sit for us. Gosh I love my boy

Brrr! But normally it is in the 70's. And it is never windy in Downtown Palm Springs, great shopping weather. Gigi wrote: E

She did the drawing, which rocks!! I did the lettering, set up and clip art. I have uploaded it, just waiting for approval. |

| There is a new member, Winkelo, who lives in the L.A. area who is getting a new pup in December. I told her about our event and she is interested too. |

Saturday we will meet up for shopping, the dog park and then dinner. Sunday is the dog park and party at my home which is @ lunch time. But it anyone is planning on being in the area on Friday evening I am sure we could have a dog park meet up. |

| The Winkelo clan (Amy, Brad and Abby) from LA is 90% definite for the gathering in the desert...It is also our 5th anniversary that weekend, so we may be there for only 1 of the days. (we got married in Palm Springs, which is where we planned to celebrate our anniversary anyway, so it works logistically at least). We will rent a house as we usually do when we go to the desert, so we will not need a hotel room. Can't wait to meet everyone! And Abby is looking forward to meeting more Sheepdogs!! Thanks! Amy |

| OK. I just made a reservation at the Motel 6- Palm Springs Downtown #689. 660 South Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs.
If you reserve a room online with their click 6 key, it was $68.39 + hotel tax of 13.50%. They also have a senior discount for those that it applies to. This rate was for 2 adults and two double beds. There is no pet fee. I told them I would suggest them as a hotel for our event, but those who want a fancier room should check dogfriendly.com for another Palm Springs hotel. Since we are only sleeping there...it works for me. We are looking foward to seeing you all. |

| I want to come too, but Palm Springs is a bit far for me and I have tons of spring events... I will be at the Burbank Kennel Club show in September 2009... supporting the OES rescue event that is held there every year. I will bring Taggart again... poor boy has to go on road trips with his mum... Come support the rescue event too in September if you can. |
