Anyone plan on dressing up yourself or pups for Halloween?

Whatcha planning? I talked to friends in AK and they said it's snowing in the mountains, and they expect snow in the next week. That, to me, really sets the mood for the holiday seasons!!!!

I think J will be the dalmatian/Yuki he was last year. First Halloween Mr. J will be here for. Missed the first 2 w/him, so this should be fun.

The St. Louis Old English Sheepdog Club is having their annual Halloween party...I have a few costumes for the 'kids' ...haven't decided who will wear what .............yet!!!!!
My husband says every year we should find costumes to make ours look like "dogs" since they never do! Most of the time they have full coats & people say "that's not a real dog" or when shaved down it is "what kind of dog is that one?"

We live in the country & there is really no trick or treating around here. Kids have to walk too far from house to house to get anything! Now & then we read about a dog friendly Halloween party. But most of our training classes have closed up & those we do hear from are quite far away.
They had adult sheepdog suits on ebay last year. Filled with hair and all. I bought one in lil J's size (actually for an older kid). I'd just feel like a goofball in it. I'd rather just dress in white and have a shaggy wig
I love Halloween, so naturally my 3 children, my husband and I and a few of the dogs go trick or treating. This year since I have a new puppy (I kept a male from my recent litter) I just purchased the cutest little costume for him from Wal Mart. Its a King costume....very fitting for this pup! It has the crown and robe. I'll be sure to post pictures.
Ooh, I have to get on this. I've dressed Barns up every year, and I don't want to stop now just because he's not my only baby anymore...Hmmm, what should he be? T is going to be a dragon...
The place I train at has a huge Halloween party for dogs, other pets and their owners every year. We dress up and work at the party. I think I will use the same costume as last year for Chewie, and I got a new one for Simon! For me, hmmmmm...... I guess I need to get planning!

This is Chewie in his 1st costume - he was 6 months old at the Stocktoberfest herding test and party.

Harry might actually pay attention to this costume since right now he only sees Panda as a potential playmate.
Darcy...you are so weird!!! I thought only owners of little dogs dressed them up. Chewie's costume was ok...but the bikini and fake legs. 8O

aww, lemme have my fun! i dont have any kids that i got to dress up! poor panda gets it once a year...its not like i keep her in stupid bows or anything year 'round!...lol.....

lets see, panda has been a cheerleader (my favorite!), dorothy from wizard of oz and princess leah.....

OK...those two aren't as bad...Princess Leah was freaky though...and I was just trying to wind you up. Guess I am in ornery mode.
Darcy....your costumes are just the best! Panda looks absolutely adorable! You have given me a few ideas.......my brothers fiance is dressing Paris up like a ballerina this year....she is going to wear my daughters tutu from her recital and naturally, a tiara, as she is quite the princess!
panda is going to make a HOT hula dancer! i know, the princess leah wasnt as good as i had hoped....it seems to work better when i make most of the costume rather than buy it......

i just cant stop laughing as i look at the dorothy picture...she HATED those ruby slippers...she would take a step, then shake her paw, take another step, shake the other paw....it was rather funny...my poor panda pooh...shes a good sport!

What?! Dressing up bigger dogs is more fun! Barney has gone as a parrot, Richard Simmons and Batman...OH, and the Easter Barney.

You girls are so creative and fun. lol ...they look adorable. I get too frustrated finding stuff b/c things don't fit.
I love Panda's outfits. And she definitely doesn't look too pleased to be wearing the Dorothy outfit.

Barney says he can't wait to see Panda's hula costume 8)
That may have to go in the Adult/Member's Only section of the forum.

Those shorts aren't short enough and there is no where near enough glitter for him to pass as Richard Simmons! I think I'd call that the "What-Not-to-Wear look." Stacey and Clinton would freak out at the oversized, shapeless sweat outfit. ;)

Ha, ha! I was thinking the same thing!

You have three now Jill, you could do a theme, like the 3 Stooges!
LOL you all are a riot. We dressed Cheyenne in fair wings once. Didnt go over to well she tried to eat them
Ooooh I love Sheepie dress up, I thought with this one for Halloween was the "Wizard of Oz" but someone said she looks more like "Hairy Potter"

Then the "Luv Bug" also was a fun one, just made from stuff from home. My Nightie is on her  It did not fit her :P so we drapped it over her shoulders :D

Still thinking what crazy costume I can come up with this year, the babies no way, they would tear up anything I try at the moment.
I happen to be going to a concert on Halloween night so Obe wont get to dress up, his fellings are hurt let me tell you. If I was not going to the concert I thought it would have been funny to dress up like a sheep and just let Obe go normal and we could walk through town. That is where people trick or treat here. The stores all stay open late and the kids go from store to store getting candy. I figured everyone would get a good laugh from seeing us. Plus it usually has snowed or is snowing here in the mountains by that time.
I'm not terribly creative, but I just picked up some red devil horns for Hudson. (Play to your strengths I always say).

So Portage wouldn't feel left out, I bought him some green ones. He looks adorable (and not at all evil) in his.

As for Hudson....well....typecast again!
Does this mean if I dress my 4 up we can go trick or treating? We don't have any kids either......

And Wendy, your not alone on the doorbell thingy...... My guys go nutts. We have to to work on the door bell thingy. We finally have Duncan, Calypso and Checkers going to the backdoor to go out and bark when the door bell rings, leaving us to go to the front door, however Delilah is the smart one and won't leave the front door and stands there and barks.

hmmmm maybe i can borrow a neighbor kid to go trick or treating????
